From Mr. G's Desk
Picture Day is Thursday, October 10. Please see below if you still need to order pictures. Mark your calendar for Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, Oct. 24 and Friday, October 25. Student will not have school on these two days. Please click on the link below to sign up for a day and time.
You can now see your child's grades in Skyward. If you log in to your Skyward account and go to web access you will be able to see updated grades every Friday. This is a great way to see how your child is doing. If you have any questions about how to get into your Skyward account please reach out to the school.
I want to remind everyone that it is important that we follow the drop off and pick procedures here at Greenbrook School for everyone's safety.
Here are a couple of reminders about dismissal. Following these will help us improve the speed of our dismissal greatly.
For Car Riders:
- Please make pull up as far as possible to pick up your children (remember only Kindergarten and 1st grade should get in the first line, all other grades should go around to where those grades are dismissed from).
- Please stay in your car at all times. We have plenty of staff that will get students safely to their car.
- Please wait in the neighborhood until your color group is called before entering the parking lot.
- Please do not park in the parking lot and get out of your car, this causes numerous safety issues and makes it hard for our staff to make sure students get places safely.
- Our dismissal order (with estimated times) is: Red group (3:20), Orange group (3:22), Green Group (3:25), Purple Group (3:28).
For Walkers:
- 2nd-5th grade walkers will come out to meet parents and family members by the Early Childhood Center. All Kindergarten and 1st grade walkers will come out by the green sign near the entrance. Please do not walk up to the teacher's classroom doors, you can wait in the grass and on the benches and our staff will help dismiss the children safely to you.
For All Families:
- If you are ever going to change your child(ren)s mode of transport, please call the school office (630-894-4544) before 3:00PM (2:15PM on Wednesday's) to make sure your child gets dismissed the correct way.
Thank you again for your help with this. We are excited to have all of the student's back in the building! If you have any questions, please call the Greenbrook school office at 630-894-4544.

Nurse Updates
As a reminder the dentist will be at Greenbrook this coming Monday and Tuesday 10/7 and 10/8. Insurance information and consent is all reviewed by the dental company and NOT Greenbrook school. The dental company makes calls to clarify information and ask for missing details so please return their call if you would like your child to be seen. If they do not get everything they need and do not have the proper consent with insurance information, they will be unable to see your child. They can be reached at 1-800-409-2563 if there are questions or concerns.
Also, per the State of Illinois, all incoming kindergarten and transfer students must submit an Illinois State Physical and Immunization record. Student that do not have this documentation turned in by October 15, 2024 will be excluded from school until the documentation is received or an approved appointment has been scheduled.
Kindergarteners will also need an Illinois state dental exam and Illinois state vision exam completed this school year.
Second graders will need a State of Illinois dental form completed this year as well.
Please reach out to apascolla@esd20.org or 630.894.4409 with any questions or concerns."
