We hope your fall break was full of fun and relaxing moments. It was wonderful to see the rested, smiling faces return to the building on Tuesday. The last two weeks of October offer many opportunities for you, your students, any your families to engage and enjoy being part of the Taylor Family. We hope to see you!

Stock the Lounge
Annually during the fall conference and early release days, PTA collects donations from our families to contribute to restocking of the teacher lounges around the school.
Taylor's amazing teachers and staff will be working non-stop on both days and these snacks and goodies make all the difference.
This year's dates are: Wednesday, October 23 & Thursday, October 24, 2024

Chili Cook Off
Calling all chili enthusiasts and culinary wizards!

Parent Teacher Conferences
We are looking forward to our Parent-Teacher Conferences during the week of October 21-25, 2024. We hope you all can attend! Parent/teacher conferences are a great opportunity to connect with teachers, check in on your child’s progress, celebrate their growth, and team up with their teacher to support them even more. We love partnering with our parents, and your involvement really makes a difference. Don’t miss this chance to have a meaningful conversation about your child’s learning.
Important Early Release Schedule Information
Student Dismissal begins at 12:50pm
Last Student Check Out at 12:15pm
Transportation changes must be sent in writing the morning of the change
Students will be eating in classrooms on Wednesday & Thursday
Important Lunch Visitor Information
Students will be eating in their classrooms on Wed. Oct. 23rd & Thurs. Oct. 24th. Due to space limitations in classrooms, parents will not be able to join their students for lunch on those days. Please plan to join them on their scheduled Lunch with a Loved One day.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming back to Taylor!
We will be open Monday, October 21st through Thursday, October 24th from 9am-3pm and Friday, October 25th, from 9am-1pm.

Lunch With a Loved One!
Once again, we are inviting families to join their children for lunch in the cafeteria during their regularly scheduled lunch time and book fair shopping.

- October 25 - Grades 3 & K, Walcott/Neal, Vickers/Soto Sadia/N'Jie
Book Mobile 5k & Fun Run
The Book Mobile 5K raises funds to put books in kids' hands. Our goal is to promote the love of reading for all.
Join us for a fantastic morning full of music, door prizes, awards, snacks and of course, the run.
Leashed dogs and strollers are welcome!

Leraning Opportunity for Parents of Special Education Students
“Families Engaging in Education”
Presented by: Dawn Albanese – GCPS Parent Mentor

This workshop is highly recommended for families of students at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school)receiving Special Education Services in Gwinnett County Public Schools. “Families Engaging in Education” is a four-session workshop that aims to nurture and develop engaged families, by helping them to positively support their child’s academic success. Please remember, our school arrival times have changed a bit. Student arrival begins at 8:15 and the car rider doors close at 8:35 am. Our late bell rings at 8:40 am. If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please arrive in time to eat and return to class by 8:40. Taylor Elementary arrival and dismissal times are listed below.
