We hope everyone had a great three-day weekend, and more importantly, stayed warm!!!

BRRRR - It sure is cold out there! Tuesday and Wednesday will be very cold, especially in the mornings, so be sure to dress warmly!!

As you heard from Friday, we are still experiencing phone line issues. Today, our main lines were working. Tomorrow, who knows? Here are three numbers that you can dial if you are unable to get a hold of anyone at school:

(828) 671-3460 - VIOP Phone line (Internet based)

Again, try our main line first. If not successful, go down the list. We understand how important it is that you are able to get in touch with the school, and we continue to work with AT&T and HCPS to get it fixed once and for all.

It was a awesome day on Friday as we recognized 213 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students for making the 2nd Quarter A-A/B Honor Roll. Great job, Buckaroos! Keep up the great work!

This past December, US News and World Report published a ranked list of 2,149 North Carolina elementary schools, including many entries in Western NC.

Glenn C. Marlow Elementary ranked 47th in the state!! That is the highest ranking in Henderson County, and second highest ranking in Western North Carolina!

47 out of 2,149 puts GMES in the top 2%!!! THAT IS OUTSTANDING!!

This is an incredible accomplishment that could not have happen without our amazing teachers, staff, students, and families! Great job! Let's keep it going!

Once again this year, our Marlow K-Kids are hosting a Canned Soup Drive to support Interfaith Assistance Ministries (IAM) of Henderson County. The canned soup drive will last from January 21st - January 31st.

K-Kids students will be delivering the collected soup to IAM, that will go directly to Henderson County Families in need this winter. Bring your canned soup in and bring it to your classroom, and it will be collected during the week.

Thank you for contributing to this Marlow K-Kids service project!!
