Prayer
Dear Lord
We thank you for the opportunities to explore, discover, and learn within our school community. Grant us the wisdom to approach each day with open minds and eager hearts, ready to embrace the knowledge and challenges that lie ahead.
Bless our teachers, who tirelessly dedicate themselves to nurturing our minds and shaping our futures. May they find fulfilment and joy in their noble vocation, and may their efforts be rewarded with success and fulfilment.
We pray for our fellow students, that we may support and uplift one another in our academic pursuits and personal growth. Help us to cultivate kindness, empathy, and understanding in our interactions, fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation within our school.
Guide us, O Lord, in all that we do, that we may strive for excellence in both our studies and our character. Grant us the courage to face challenges with resilience, the humility to acknowledge our mistakes and learn from them, and the grace to celebrate our achievements with gratitude.
Amen

NEW UNIFORM REMINDER
As it gets colder and we move into winter, students are putting on warmer clothes for school. Here are the guidelines for the NEW UNIFORM:
Formal Uniform:
If students have the new uniform, they should wear the formal navy school jumper over it for extra warmth. They can also wear the wet weather jacket over the jumper if needed. The wet weather jacket should only be worn over the formal navy jumper, not by itself.
Sports Uniform:
The additional layer for warmth is the wet weather jacket. Don't wear the formal navy jumper with the sports uniform.
Socks and Tights:
Wear navy socks and tights with the formal uniform. Wear white crew socks with the sports uniform.
WA STUDENT ASSISTANCE PAYMENT UPDATE
Late last term, families were notified with a letter from the Premier about an important initiative from the State Government aimed at easing the cost of living pressures many Western Australian families are facing.
The government is introducing the WA Student Assistance Payment to provide financial support for families with school-aged children. To apply for this initiative, you will require your child’s WA Student Number (WASN).
All families in Pre-Primary and Year 1, would have received a hard copy of their child's WASN number last term. Families with students in Year 2 - Year 6 can access their child's WASN through SEQTA ENGAGE (where you access your child's semester reports). On Tuesday 16 April, you would have received a SEESAW message that included a list of frequently asked questions that will assist you in applying for the financial support.
SCREEN TIME
As technology continues to play an increasingly integral role in our lives, we recognise the importance of fostering healthy habits and mindful usage, particularly when it comes to screen time. While digital devices offer numerous opportunities for learning and connectivity, it's essential to strike a balance and ensure that our children's screen time is both beneficial and moderated.
As we navigate the digital landscape together, we encourage you to engage in open conversations with your children about responsible screen usage.
The eSafety Commissioner provides a lot of information and advice for parents regarding online safety and our digital world. The link below, contains some helpful tips and tricks for managing screen time at home.
