You may have heard that CVPA is under construction as we receive continued tuckpointing, new windows and work is ongoing on a brand new cafeteria.

Our college Counselor continues to schedule visits from Colleges and Universities from all across the US. Please continue to check our website for the most Up-To-Date Schedule of these visits.

Thank you to the 60 families who attended the FAFSA Frenzy last week. All families were eligible to win a $500 college scholarship for their student!

Did you know that CVPA and CSMB have over 60 closed caption video surveillance cameras helping to monitor and protect our campus? Safety team members as well as administrators have access via desktop and mobile device to monitor these cameras to help ensure the safety of all persons on our campus.

In the event of inclement weather or other unplanned school closures, SLPS may elect to have an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) day in lieu of cancelling classes and instruction. The primary method for instruction on AMI days is virtual learning.

To ensure a seamless transition from in-person learning to virtual learning, all schools and classrooms will host a Practice the Pivot, school-wide event on Friday, December 13, 2024.

· All staff and students (including those who do not currently take technology home) will participate.

· The Practice the Pivot will take place over the course of one full instructional block.

· The virtual learning practice session should fully replicate an AMI virtual learning instructional block.

Reminder that Senior Dues for the class of 2025 are due. If you have not paid the dues for your graduating senior, please contact Mr. Anselman at perry.anselman@slps.org.

Auditions for prospective new students were held on Saturday, December 7th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM and will be again held on Monday, December 16th from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the dance studio. Specific information regarding the audition application and protocol can be found on our website or by contacting Ms. Brown @ brianna.brown@slps.org.

CVPA Carolers were requested to perform at an event called "Frizzmas," presented by the Frizz Fest Annual Festival. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their talent and represent CVPA during the holiday season.

For over a decade The Fox has been wowed by the breadth of talent in the St. Louis community. They are constantly amazed by the technique, creativity, and stage presence that they have witnessed from instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers, acrobats; the list goes on and on. Their finalists represent the best the St. Louis high school performing arts community has to offer.This year, CVPA is among them. Please plan to attend and support us on January 18th!
