Plant the Moon Challenge
Project Launched Feb 2025! Good Luck Bears!
Plant the Moon Challenge at NBMS
Participants in the NASA Plant the Moon Challenge are part of a global science experiment and educational research challenge to see who can grow the best crops in lunar or Martian soil. Research findings from student teams will help scientists understand how to feed future missions to the Moon and Mars! Our Earth and Environmental Science students have received grant funding for two competition teams, and we cannot wait to receive our kits by the end of January!
New Bridge will have the opportunity to compete for Plant the Moon Challenge awards as well as these special project awards for educator and student teams:
+ State STEM experience with some expenses covered for four top teams at both the middle and high school levels.
+ An expense-paid trip to Kennedy Space Center for the top middle and high school regional winners.
Plant the Moon Guest Scientist on 1/29/2025!
NBMS will host a Plant the Moon Guest Scientist (Biotechnology/Plant Scientist) in the Earth Environmental Science class this week!
