On behalf of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Beta Chapter (in association with Mu Lambda Chapter), I am pleased to invite you and your students to participate in the 31st Annual Brother 2 Brother Youth Conference.
This year’s conference will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, on the campus of Howard University. The conference aims to inspire African-American male youth in the DMV area to pursue higher education. Throughout the day, participants will engage in various workshops, hear from impactful speakers, and take part in a tour of Howard University’s campus.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all students attending. There is no maximum number of students from your school who can attend; however, please note that we anticipate having space for up to 300 participants.
For more details, please review the attached packet, which may answer any additional questions you may have.
Tentative Conference Schedule:
• 8:30 AM: Students arrive on campus
• 9:00 – 10:00 AM: Breakfast & Registration
• 10:15 – 11:00 AM: Workshop 1
• 11:15 AM – 12:00 PM: Workshop 2

There are two essay categories:
• Grades 6-8
• Grades 9-12
While prizes for this year’s winners are still being determined, for reference, last year’s prizes included two Xbox Series S consoles donated by Microsoft. Unfortunately, these prizes went unclaimed due to a lack of essay submissions.
If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact me at JamesEharmon@gmail.com.
Please return all completed permission packets to Bro. Derek McEwen via both djmcewen50@gmail.com and aphiabeta1907@gmail.com.
Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to your students’ participation in this impactful event.
