We hope you all had a wonderful summer! The PTO has been planning away and is so excited for a year of fun activities and educational events. There is a lot of information in this newsletter so if you are looking for information or links to all of the happenings we list below, you can always refer to our website: www.brightonpto.com

The Brighton PTO is a non-profit organization that is comprised of board members, parents and teachers. All Brighton parents and staff are automatic members of the PTO. Our goal as your PTO Board is to foster and strengthen the sense of community at Brighton School while supporting and enriching the lives of our awesome students.

This is the last year that the three of us will be serving on the PTO Board, as each term is limited to two years. If you are interested in any of the positions, we would love to have you be a part of our team this year so that we can share what we do!

Come meet and and hang out with other Brighton parents in the gym after drop off on Thursday September 7th. We will have a Latte cart there. Starts at 8am!

Are you tired of the PTO constantly asking you to donate money, buy art work your child made or donate things to an auction? LETS CHANGE IT UP!

We are trying a no-fuss fundraiser this year and our goal is to raise $50k. This, combined with the FUN RUN in April will allow us to hit our yearly goal and be done with Fundraising! Our big push will be at the Back to School BBQ however if you would like to get it over with and really take advantage of the "No-Fuss" than you can make a donation to the PTO HERE (Reminder we are a non-profit so check with your accountant about tax write offs).

The auction is a lot of work, finding the volunteers to put on an all school auction is difficult. We are still planning to have a parent party at the Lake Forest Park Civic Club on March 22nd. This will be a more casual event with dinner and a bar! We may have some raffle items with some of the traditional items from years past such as the parking spot and principal for a day.

This year, our school directory will be available via PDF and will be included at the bottom of our

newsletters each time we send it out.

Want to opt out?

This is the final call to opt out of the all school directory. As a reminder, all children will be listed under their class name. If you don't opt out, the child's parent(s) will be listed by name as well as with email addresses.

We are including a parent business directory this year! Do you own a business or offer a service and want to advertise to Brighton Families? Fill out THIS form and we will include you in the directory.

We have tickets left! The game is on September 17th at 1:10pm. We will all be sitting in the same section. If the link doesn't work, then we sold out. See THIS newsletter for more info and to purchase.

The gear store will be open for 2 weeks ONLY (closing 9/19) and then all orders will be shipped to your home. There are samples displayed at the school.
