God is all about Community
The world has suffered much from the various forms of Christian colonialism. Yet the reign of God is an alternative to domination systems and all “isms.” Jesus teaches that right relationship (that is, love) is the ultimate and daily criterion. If a social order allows and encourages strong connectedness between people and creation, people and each other, people and God, then we have a truly sacred culture: the reign of God. It wouldn’t be a world without pain or mystery, but simply a world where we are connected and in communion with all things.
God’s reign is about union and communion, which means that it’s also about mercy, forgiveness, nonviolence, letting go, solidarity, service, and lives of love, patience, and simplicity. Who can doubt that this is the sum and substance of Jesus’ teaching?

Hi Everyone,
When you see this Spirit of Jesus embraced every day at school, it brings with it so much hope for the future. We learn from watching the way in which our children interact with each other. It is a gift.
Following our St Dominic’s Day celebrations last Friday, Wednesday of this week saw the Mass to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Dominican Sisters in WA. This is a significant milestone. Many schools including ours owe their existence to the dedication of the Sisters and their supporters who built and staffed them. We are in their debt.
Have a great weekend.

Working Together
Working alongside friends not only makes our goals achievable but also brings a smile to our faces 😁
Congratulations to our amazing Senior Chess Champions for 2024! On Wednesday, at hymn singing, they were presented with their trophies. Well done to our champion Jobe, with Martin in 2nd place and Jordan in 3rd. Jobe and Martin are also umpires of both junior and senior competitions and give up many hours during lunch so chess can happen. Thank you to all our umpires who will be celebrated at a morning tea soon. Junior Chess is a fabulous spectacle. It is wonderful to see the younger years giving it a go and trying their best as they learn new skills.
