Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we enter the Thanksgiving season, it’s a perfect opportunity to encourage unity, gratitude, and kindness—qualities that help us grow as individuals and as a community. These values are so important, especially for our students, as they navigate challenges and learn to work together.

Let’s remind our children (and ourselves!) to show appreciation for the people around us, to offer help when someone is struggling, and to celebrate the unique contributions each of us brings to the table. Together, we can create a culture of encouragement and support that will benefit everyone.

These are our school-wide expectations for our students. Positive behavior fosters an environment where ALL students can learn and grow. It is our hope that our HMS families will discuss our school-wide behavior expectations and encourage positive behaviors at school and home.

Our school-wide expectations extend beyond the classroom. It is important that students also realize they are accountable for their behaviors in the hallway, cafeteria and at all school sponsored activities on and off campus.
