Arrival and Tardy Information
School begins at 8:10 and the tardy bell rings at 8:15. We are now opening the cafeteria doors at 7:40 and the carpool line is moving very quickly, as we have added more staff. Instruction begins at 8:10 and teachers are not on duty after this time. Students arriving after 8:10 will need to come in through the front doors with a parent. Please do not park in the fire lane, as this blocks our buses which are leaving for their next route. We appreciate your help with making sure all students arrive on time and safely.
Snack and Treat Procedures
Please use this form to verify food has been checked with nurse for allergens. This will help us avoid allergic reactions. Two weeks is requested to allow the nurse time to process request. Approval letters will need to be brought in with the food as proof of approval.
Procedure Information
School begins at 8:10 every day and the tardy bell rings at 8:15. We encourage you to get your child to school on time every day to avoid missing community circle time and the high quality instruction our teachers provide. Missed minutes add up quickly leading to gaps in learning!
We are so excited to allow visitors for lunch; however, we have limited space! Please see below for the schedule to allow for all to meet with your child during lunch. If you have a special occasion, please let us know.
Lunch rotation schedule for visitors:
Monday Kindergarten 11am
Tuesday First grade 11:45
Wednesday Second/Third grade 11:30 and 12:00
Thursday Pre-kindergarten 10:45/5th grade 12:15
Friday Fourth grade 12:30
Please see the map below for arrival and dismissal locations to allow for the flow of traffic and the safety of students as they arrive and leave school. When all follow these guidelines, arrival and dismissal run smoothly and safely.
- Buses and daycare drop off and pickup in the front lot by the flagpole.
- Please use the cafeteria entrance on the side of the building for car drop off and pick up.
Students walking to and from school should use the crosswalks by the bike racks or further down Castlemont at Temple Bell away from vehicle entrances. Students and families should always use a crossing guard and crosswalk. Students should not be walking into the fire lane or across the parking lot, and will be expected to walk entirely off campus to be considered a walker. Students may not cross any lanes of traffic near the daycare vehicles or buses and load in a car not in the car rider lines.
- If you need an extended good-bye please park in the front lot and walk your student to the door using the crosswalk. No cars should use the fire lane at the front of the building without a special permit, as buses are often blocked in and students are crossing in unsafe areas.
- If you are waiting for your walker, please wait outside the fence until 3:25, as we have many students moving to dismissal locations.
Thank you,
Roth Administration
