The Ox Bow Bulletin

We are grateful to have a supportive community connection between Ox Bow Elementary and the Elkhart Public Library. Students will be bringing home EPL ecards next week. These cards provide access to all of the Public Library's digital collections including books, magazines, movies, music and a wide range of other resources for the whole family! We encourage you to take advantage of this free ecard!

While these eCards do provide students digital resources, they cannot be used for physical check outs at our libraries. However, all students who attend school at Concord, whether or not they live in the district, are eligible for a physical library card at no cost to them. Students' families simply need to bring a document from the school that includes the school name and child's name as their proof of residency (for example, progress reports which come home on Sept 13 or a report card).

Please have your students at the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus stop pick-up time. Although with the BusRight app, you can see exactly when the bus will arrive, sending your student out of the house right when the bus arrives causes students to walk from unsafe angles to the bus. We appreciate your support and everyone's dedication to safety!

We’re excited to kick off the new school year with a fun-filled evening for the whole family! The Concord Ox Bow PTO is hosting a **Back to School Bash** and everyone is invited!

Here's what you can look forward to:

🎈 **Inflatables:** Bounce around and have some fun—completely free!

🚒 **Touch the Truck:** Explore fire trucks and police cars up close, learn about their services, and even get some life safety tips.

🍔 **Food Trucks:** Delicious eats available for purchase, with a portion of proceeds going back to our school. Please note, no food is allowed indoors, but we encourage you to bring camp chairs and blankets to enjoy a picnic outside with your family.

🛑 **Important Info:** The school will be open for bathroom access only.

This is a great way to connect with other families and celebrate the start of the school year. Don’t miss out on this amazing event!
