A big welcome to Gabe, Lincoln and Arjay who have started school this term. They all join us in Pīwakawaka Class. We hope and your families enjoy your time here at Rawhitiroa School.
What a great event school camp was last week, an awesome way to start the school year. Thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make this event a success.

Duffy Books
Duffy Book orders went home last week. Could we please have these back by this Wednesday 12th February.

School lunches
School lunches are available again this year.
Please complete the form coming out this week to confirm if your child/ren will have school lunches.
All students need their own morning tea and drink bottle.
Turnbull Cup
Turnbull Cup is a swimming competition for years 6-8. Please note this is a competitive event. A notice will come home today for students who have indicated they would like to participate.
School Times – Term 1
9am-3pm
If you children need to be at school before 8.30am please let us know in advance.
Swimming
Swimming will take place every afternoon weather permitting.
All children should bring togs and towel everyday. If your child will not be swimming, please let their teacher, Jan or Amanda know.
Term Calendar
The term calendar will be out later this week.
Year 7-8 Technology
Year 7-8 technology will be fortnightly on a Friday, beginning this week, at Stratford High School. The students will be bused to and from the SHS.
They require:
- Covered shoes
- Hair tied back (if long)
- Morning tea
- Drink bottle
Forms
This week your children will bring home the following forms. Could you please discuss the forms with them and return to school promptly.

- Cyber Safety
- Behaviour Agreement
- General Information
Year 7&8 Vaccinations
Could we please have all forms back by Friday 21st February, even if your child will not be getting their vaccinations through the school programme.
Touch Competition
Touch starts tomorrow. A notice has been emailed today with team lists and the draw. If your child hasn't signed up for touch and wishes to play, could you please contact Amanda asap.
