Emmanuel Baptist Church

It is good to be back at work. Being on vacation the past couple of weeks has been refreshing and rejuvenating. I am grateful to our fantastic church staff for all of their work to cover for me while I was gone. They have been hard at work to prepare for VBS this week. Craig, Dana, Stephenie, and Katie are a blessing to our church!

Your deacons have finished our task of considering the candidates you nominated as potential deacons. Of the 12 men you nominated, 5 of them have walked through the process and feel called by God to serve our Church Family as deacons! These 5 men are Nick Ramirez, Troy Freeborn, Brent Miller, Jonathan Hollingsworth, and Brian Denton. On Sunday morning, August 13, we will have a short Quarterly Business Meeting immediately after our morning service where you will vote to approve these men as deacons by secret ballot. Please make an effort to be present that morning and attend the business meeting.

Church family we need your help! Emmanuel Baptist is hosting the salad bar/appetizer portion of this years Progressive Dinner. You can help by bringing a food dish or volunteering your time to serve our students! All food must be dropped off August 19 between 4pm - 5pm in the gym.

The project leader workshop is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Teenagers are also welcome to attend!
