Important Reminders
MERHS will NOT have an early release day this Wednesday, June 4th. Our early release day will be Tuesday, June 17th.
The schedule for our Culminating Activities Week is below. We will begin our exams on Thursday, June 12th and wrap up on Tuesday, June 17th.
Senior Week
Senior Week is underway! Here is the schedule for the week:
Red Sox Game: This event is not affiliated with MERHS and has been pre-planned by the senior class officers.
Tuesday, 6/3:
Records Pickup
Location: MERHS (outside main office)
Time: 9-11 AM
Cap, gown, and yearbook pickup (for those who pre-ordered yearbooks)
Surplus yearbooks are available first-come-first-served during records pick up. Bring a check (made out to MERHS Yearbook) or $75 cash.
Rafting Trip:
Location: Northern Outdoors Adventure Park, ME
Depart from MERHS at 1 PM
Seniors - Check in & bag checks at 12:30 pm
Arrive back to MERHS around 8 PM on Wednesday, 6/4

Thursday, 6/5:
Baccalaureate Rehearsal
Location: MERHS Auditorium
Time: 9 AM
Elementary School Walk Through
Location: Memorial or Essex Elementary School
Time: 11:15 AM
Attire: graduation cap & gown
Baccalaureate Ceremony
Location: MERHS Auditorium
Time: 6-8 PM
Attire: business casual (seniors–wear graduation gown)
Seniors–check in at the cafeteria at 5:30 PM
Students and families are invited to attend
Desserts and light refreshments will be available in the cafeteria after the ceremony
Friday, 6/6:
Graduation Rehearsal
Location: MERHS (Hyland Field, weather permitting)
Time: 9 AM
Graduation
Location: MERHS (Hyland Field, weather permitting)
Time: 4 PM
Attire: graduation cap & gown
Seniors–arrive to Memorial by 3:15 PM
There is no limit to the number of family members attending the outdoor graduation ceremony. If the weather requires moving indoors, more information will be sent.

MERHS Honors Scholars

Honor Scholars represent the top 5% of students in the graduating classes of public and private high schools on the North Shore.
This year, almost 350 students from more than 30 high schools were selected for this recognition. The students were recognized and celebrated for their achievements during the North Shore Chamber’s Honor Scholars Recognition Dinner on Thursday, May 15.
News from the School Nurse
Please be aware that it is tick season in New England. Be on the lookout for tick bites as students spend more time outside in warmer weather.
In the event of a tick bite, recommendations are listed below.
Remove the tick as soon as possible - ideally within 36 hours of the tick bite. Keep the area clean.
Contact your health care provider to discuss if prophylaxis with antibiotics against Lyme Disease is appropriate.
Signs and symptoms of Lyme Disease may include: bullseye rash, fatigue, fever, headache, myalgias, joint pain or swelling.
