Good Evening DRES Family,

Two important items to pay attention to are:

1. Bus times change starting tomorrow morning!

2. Get your tickets for our family outing at the Mudcats this Thursday!

Please click on the link to see the bus route changes that will start tomorrow with traditional calendar schools starting back up.

Our first bus will arrive on campus at 7:24am and our last bus will arrive on campus at 8:46am. Check to see when your child's bus route begins in the morning and when they are scheduled to arrive to school. (Regular arrival is from 8-8:30am)

In the afternoon, our first bus leaves campus at 3:10pm and our last bus leaves campus at 4:20pm. Check to see when your child's bus is scheduled to leave the school in the afternoon. (Regular dismissal is from 3-3:30pm)

WCPSS will be paying DRES staff to watch the bus students before and after staff's regularly scheduled hours.

Carpool will remain the same at 8:00am-8:30am drop-off and 3:00pm-3:30pm pick-up.

You are invited to come to DRES on Monday 8-28-23 at 6:30pm to learn more about what Title 1 is and means for our school and to participate in our first PTA meeting of the school year. The meeting will be held in our gymnasium. Doors will open at 6:15pm.

You are invited to fill out an application to see if you qualify for free or reduced price meals for your child. This needs to be redone every year. Please apply using this link: https://www.myschoolapps.com/

If you would prefer a paper copy, these are available at the school.

In order to continue to build community, we will have Saturday meet ups at different parks throughout the county. We'd love for you and your family to join us to meet one another and provide a time for the kids to play. Reminders and times will be sent out throughout the year. We have set a time for the first one and will communicate the other times going forward.

We are still collecting gently worn, new, and used shoes! The drop off box is in the underpass leading to the front door. Drop them off in the box!

Calling all Parents!

We are looking for Lunch Volunteers! DRES would love your help in the cafeteria at lunchtime!

Duties would include helping students open food items, reminding students to SOAR, and wiping down tables between classes. This is a great way to see your student at school and get to meet their classmates. We would love to have consistent volunteers who can make a commitment to a day and time every week for an entire quarter.
