Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Campos
This month’s teacher spotlight is Mr. Ryan Campos. He is originally from Kansas City, Kansas, but spent most of his childhood in Pittsburg, Missouri. In high school he played basketball and ran cross country. He attended college at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. Mr. Campos is married to Jenesa, and has two children, Audrina who is 12 and Leon who is 9. A fluffy cat is also part of the family.
Mr. Campos teaches Bible for 8th, 10th, and 12th grade at CCA. His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 139:9-10: “If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.” When asked who he looks up to he said, “his dad.” In his free time he enjoys reading, drinking coffee, watching hockey, football, and college basketball. --Maggie
April Character Trait of the month is Gentleness
The character trait for the month of April is Gentleness. Gentleness means being kind and tenderhearted. We interviewed a few kids about gentleness and what it means to them and here is what they said. Xander, in 2nd grade, said that gentleness is being gentle and slow to anger when other people are harming you and not being mean back. Caroline J, in 4th grade, said that gentleness is being soft with things and being caring and gentle to others. Carter B, in 5th grade, said that gentleness is being soft touching and not fighting and hurting others. Philippians 4:5, says, ”Let your gentleness be evident to all.” --Carissa

Girls Varsity Soccer Recap
Lady Patriots v. Golden Eagles
On Monday, April 22nd, the Lady Patriots traveled to Independence. The team has improved a great deal since their last match-up with the Golden Eagles. In the first half, CCA was down by one. The defense did an incredible job of pushing the offense up. There were many off-sides calls because of this and it gave CCA several opportunities to score. By the second half, CCA found themselves down 0-2. The offense did a great job looking for passes and shooting the ball. Unfortunately, the Patriots were unable to score, and lost to the Golden Eagles 0-2. --Kennedy
