Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone had a great long weekend and I know we are all thankful for a little rain! We are also thankful for our PTA who provides us with treat in the lounge this week! Thank you for helping us get through the end of the six weeks, and the week of Halloween! :)
Monday begins the 3rd six weeks. Before we know it, the first semester will be over. Don't forget to consult the exam schedule below. We will also start basketball season this week. Go Tigers!
Our counselors will be hosting a food drive this week to benefit some of our own KJH families! See the flyer below!
Next Monday, the 11th, we will host our annual Veteran's Day Program! If you, or someone you know is a Veteran, we would love to honor you! This has become one of my favorite events at KJH! Anyone and all are invited!
Let's make this a great week!
Mrs. Lowery

BUS INFORMATION
SMART TAG ... BUS INFORMATION
Parents of Bus Riders: If your student is a bus rider, look for the white route number on the side of the bus when tracking their bus this school year! And make sure to download the Smart tag™ app from your mobile Google Play Store or Apple App Store! The Smart Tag app allows parents to set their preferred notifications, including when their child’s bus is expected to arrive. You can also see when and where your student boards and exits the bus.

KISD TELECOMMUNICATION DEVICE POLICY CHANGE!
Students in junior high will no longer be able to have telecommunication devices during the instructional day. Students will not use their phones in class, or during passing periods, in locker rooms or restrooms. They will have access to their school issued chrome books during class.
At KJH, we will allow our 8th graders only to use their phones during lunch. 7th graders will be working towards earning telecommunications during lunch. We will communicate when 7th graders can use their phones. 6th graders will not be allowed to access their communication devices during lunch.
If telecommunication devices are visible during times they should not be in use, they will be collected and brought to the assistant principals' offices. The first time, students will be able to collect at the end of the day, and parents will be notified. The second time, parents will be required to come to the campus to collect the device. Additional infractions will have additional consequences.
Dress Code for 24-25
We will review this with students, and videos will be posted to help parents make appropriate purchases for back to school clothing. If you have questions, please contact your student's grade level assistant principal, or Mrs. Lowery.
