What a year!! From a 12th football State Championship to the first trip to the UIL One Act Play State Championship in 12 years, our students have excelled and achieved at the highest levels! As my time as a Bearcat comes to an end, I am incredibly grateful for the many opportunities, challenges, and successes! Thank you for trusting me to lead for the past 19 years! I will always look back on my time in Aledo with pride and gratitude! I'm looking forward to one last graduation... congrats to the Class of 2024! They are a truly special group! Graduation will be streamed on the AISD website for those who do not have tickets to attend.

Semester exams will be given on May 21-23. If students are exempt from their exams, they are required to attend all non-exam periods during those days. Click on the exam schedule below for more details.

No exams may be given early. If students are absent during exams, they are required to make arrangements with their teachers to make up their exams.

If your child has any medications in the nurse’s office, it may be picked up at the end of any school day now by the parent. Medications left behind will be disposed of after the last day of school.

Final senior transcripts for graduates will be submitted electronically to designated universities and to their home address on Friday, May 31. Transcripts for rising seniors will be mailed to students on Wednesday, June 5. The counselors will also provide information regarding the college application timeline and process. If copies of transcripts are not received by June 7, please contact Christina McClure chmcclure@aledoisd.org.

If additional copies of transcripts are necessary during the summer, please fill out this Transcript Request form. Please give at least 7 business days from the mail date before requesting an additional copy. Transcripts will be sent within 48 business hours of our receipt of this form.

If your secondary student (6-12) is participating in athletics, cheer or dance in the 2024-2025 school year, please go online to https://aledoisd.rankonesport.com to complete athletics forms. All students who participate in athletics, cheer, dance and/or marching band must also have a physical completed for the 2024-2025 school year. Aledo ISD's summer reading initiative Aledo Reads @ Home begins May 27!

• Aledo Reads At Home is designed to prevent the summer slide through encouraging and motivating our students to read books of their choice throughout the summer.

• AISD has developed a list of fiction and non-fiction title choices by grade level for students and families that would like suggestions of high- interest texts by grade level.

• In an effort to encourage and promote summer reading, students that participate will be entered for a chance to win prizes throughout the summer. Once students finish reading a book they can submit a reading response to be entered into the drawing.

• During the summer renovation, Aledo High School and AHS tennis courts will be closed for all activities. Parking on both the east and west side of the AHS tennis courts as well as the parking that runs along the east side of the grass practice fields will be for Construction Crews ONLY.

Parents- please take a minute to complete our spring counseling department needs assessment. We will gather input from students, parents and staff as we plan out programming for the 2024-25 school year. We appreciate your support and partnership!

School-issued devices will be collected on May 15 - May 21 during social studies classes. Please make sure your student locates their charger and brings their device to school for collection on those days.
