Players wanting to participate will need the following items...

• Covid mask
• Cleats
• Mouthguard
• Athletic attire

• Sweat towel

In-Person Students: It is crucial that your child is here every day! We have 50 days remaining and want to make sure we are working with kids every minute!

Virtual Students: It is crucial that your child attends every virtual session and is on time for every session. We also ask that you utilize virtual office hours if your child needs additional support.

If attendance is not consistent SSS administration will be reaching out to help eliminate any barriers for students.

World Poetry Celebration submissions have been extended to April 25th!! Please encourage your student to submit a poem to go into our collective school book that will be kept in the school library. The classroom or homeroom with the most participants will get a class party with either pizza or ice cream. There will be a class participation winner in each elementary and middle school, so we hope this encourages everyone to jump in! Also, we will be doing give-a-ways to those who are participating and will have one winner per class (of those participating). Note: this is not a contest. Students do not have to attach their name, they can say grade and or age so long as we know who the student is and can let us know.

We are preparing for a day-long Earth Day program at the school and would like some volunteers to help with vendors and classrooms. If you are able to help with just a one-time slot or the whole day we could use your help. Please use this sign-up link below. We will need to verify that you are approved to volunteer and if not we are working to see if we can do volunteer training with enough time to have you approved. We do typically have these earlier in the year but you know....covid.

As our PTSA seeks to strengthen our community and support local needs, we have teamed with our FRYSC to provide blessing bags to families. If you would like to help with the blessing bags please use the sign-up link below. You can drop off items to FHS attention: Sunny Hardin.

Nominations for positions for both the Site-Based Decision Making Council and the Parent Teacher Student Association will be opening on Monday, April 12th. Please be on the lookout for more information.

Frankfort Independent Families,

Although we are starting our school year virtually, we will still have the opportunity to provide counseling services for both Second Street School and Frankfort High students. Kurt Montooth is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with Deaton and Deaton Counseling. He will be available for in-person (at both schools) or telehealth appointments.
