We can't wait to welcome everyone back for the 2024-25 school year!
School starts for all Pre K-12 students on Monday, Aug. 19. To help families get prepared for the upcoming school year, we've compiled a back-to-school resource page in one spot. Families can find school supply lists, bus information, academic calendar and more. We are excited to start the new school year!
Bus schedules are available
Bus route information for the 2024-25 school year is available in the Parent Portal. To find your bus route schedule, log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, click 'More,' then 'Transportation.'
Share your first day of school pics đ¸
School starts on Monday!âď¸ Be ready to capture this special day. Once again, we're collecting first day photos to share on our social media. You can send your photo to info@fergflor.org or DM to FergFlorSchools Facebook, IG, or Twitter (X). Make your posts public, so we can see them and use the hashtag #FFSDFirstDay2024. We'll share as many as we can to celebrate our first day back.
REMINDER: School uniforms for K-12th grade
Students in grades K-12th grade will wear school uniforms for the 2024-25 school year.
Your childâs school may add additional spirit wear colors, grade-level uniform colors, or other uniform requirements. STEAM Middle/STEAM High have different uniform requirements. Please check with your child's school.
Shirts
- White or navy blue shirts with collars such as a polo, oxford, or dress shirt (no logos required)
- Information on school color shirts will be shared from your childâs school
FFSD cardigan, vest, fleeces, or blazers may also be worn.
Bottoms
- Navy blue shorts, pants, slacks, skirt, skorts or jumper
- Khaki shorts, pants, slacks, skirt, skorts or jumper
- FFSD Red/Navy blue plaid skirt, skorts or jumper

REMINDER: All students in grades Pre-K -12 will carry clear bookbags for the 2024-25 school year
As part of the Districtâs comprehensive safety and security plan, all Pre K-12th grade students are required to have clear bookbags. As done in the past, when the District implemented clear bookbags for other grade levels, the District will provide the initial clear bookbag for Pre-K and Kindergarten students for the 2024-25 school year. The safety and security plan called CUBES stands for clear Communication, clear Understanding, clear Bookbags, clear Expectations, and clear Supports.
Bookbag requirement for grades Pre K-12:
- Clear Bookbags ( 16 in. tall x 12 in. wide x 6 in deep)
- Small pouch/wristlet for personal items if needed (5.5 in. x 4 in. and does not have to be clear)
Student purchased bookbags must meet the following specifications:
- The bookbag must be at least 16 inches tall X 12 inches wide X 6 inches deep
- The bookbag must be completely clear, with the exception of the straps, zippers, and small manufacturer label
- Transparent but tinted or opaque bookbags are not permitted
- Logos, stickers, or other attachments that obstruct the view into the bookbag are not permitted
- Mesh may only cover a side pouch but may not cover the whole bookbag
- No bookbag or bag may be worn under a coat or jacket
REMINDER: Cell phone-free learning space
Ferguson-Florissant School District is a cell phone-free space for students during school. Middle and high school students will be required to place all cell phones in a personal locked Yondr Pouch. Students will keep their phones and will not use them until their pouches are opened at the end of the school day.
Returning students from last school year should bring their district-issued Yondr pouch back to school to use for the 2024-25 school year. For students who have have lost or misplaced their Yondr pouch, they must purchase a new pouch. The cost is $30 for a new pouch or $15 for a used pouch (if available).

Open Gate detection system
As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, FFSD will continue use of Open Gate detection systems. The District will use the systems at McCluer, McCluer North, and Restoration & Wellness Center for the 2024-25 school year with plans to expand to other buildings. This is a continued focus on our comprehensive safety plan, CUBES. Let's Be Clear - No Weapons in Our Schools!
Make Sure You Complete Online Registration
To ensure enrollment for the 2024-25 school year, all families (both existing and new) must provide updated residency documentation. For existing families, you must reupload your residency documents.

- A valid state or government photo ID (from parent/guardian)
- Birth Certificate
- Child's immunization record
- Proof of Guardianship (Court Appointed Documents, Divorce Decree, DFS Placement, Foster Care Placement) if applicable

Attendance Counts
Attendance matters. We know there are times when students have to stay home. However, if you need to make routine appointments for your child, please consider using one of the dates that the District is off school to make sure students do not miss any learning.
