Art to Remember
For the past couple of weeks, your children were hard at work on their amazing Art to Remember projects. Please be on the lookout for the Art to Remember order forms that should be coming home around November 6. The order deadline is Friday, November 22. Your purchases with your child’s AMAZING ARTWORK will be arriving at Tripp around December 12. The top seller from each grade level will get a little surprise from Mrs. Lamour. I hope you enjoy your children’s special projects as much as they enjoyed creating it!
Student Attendance
We understand that students will need to leave or arrive late to school from time to time for a scheduled doctors appointment. We kindly ask that parents make every effort to ensure that their child is still coming to school. There is no need for children to miss an entire day of school for an appointment.
Children Clothing
Our school nurse is in need of used children's clothing (tops and bottoms). If you have old clothing you would like to donate for children ages 5-10 we would greatly appreciate it! We are in need of boys and girls short sleeve shirts, long sleeve shirts, pants, joggers, sweat pants, shorts, and socks. Please send any donations to school in a bag labeled attention school nurse.
PTO Book Fair
Dear Families,
Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. Fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates:
- Tuesday, 11/19 - Open After School until 6:00pm
- Wednesday, 11/20 - 9:00am - 8:00pm
- Wednesday, 11/20 at 6:30 PM - Tripp Family Book Club - Book Fair Edition! Location: Tripp School Library
- Thursday, 11/21 - 9:00am - 6:00pm
Location: Gym
- To volunteer at the fair, please sign up HERE!
- There’s even more info on our school’s Book Fair HOMEPAGE.
- While you’re there, set up a Book Fair eWallet, the digital payment account that allows your child to shop for books at the Fair without cash. Then share your eWallet link so friends and extended family can add funds.
- When you fund an eWallet, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a giving initiative called Share the Fair™. Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books from the Fair.
Coin Contest
Prior to our PTO Book Fair, Tripp School will be hosting Tripp's Coin Competition! Students are encouraged to bring coins (pennies, dimes, nickels and quarters) to school. The money collected by each classroom will be used to buy books for classrooms. The coin contest will take place from Monday, November 11th through Friday, November 15th. Thanks for helping us!
