Principal's Message From Dr. Otway
Your Voice Matters â Thank You for Engaging with Us!
Dear College Park Elementary Families,
Our very first Expo Day was amazing! We are truly amazed by the incredible engagement from our parents! Your dedication to understanding and participating in your childâs educational journey is inspiring, and it makes such a difference in our school community.
In our time together I shared actions that we need to continue driving our school forward, we need your voice and input that you showed in your presence. Continue to show up, check in, and complete surveys to share your valuable feedback.
We recently had a fantastic gathering, and I even gave the homework to learn Princetonâs Creed! Your support in encouraging your child to embrace this is just one more way youâre helping us grow.
Iâve also attached the Leader in Me survey, which is an important tool to help guide our schoolâs development.
If you havenât already, please sign up for a teacher/leader/parent conference. Itâs a crucial time to connect with your child and their homeroom teacher. Conferences will be held on October 16, right after fall break. Reach out to your child's homeroom teacher to see now to secure your spot!
Looking ahead, Iâm excited to announce our next Expo Day this semester:
October 25, which will be designed for parents that have children receiving ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes.
November 15, we will host an Expo focused on Technology & STEM.
Thank you for being an amazing partner in your childâs success. Together, we will continue to make College Park a great place to learn and grow!
Warmly,
Dr. Maisha N. Otway
Principal, College Park Elementary School

EXPO DAY
Learning the 7 habits of highly successful kids is part of our leadership journey at Princeton's Leadership Academy @College Park Elementary. This exercise helps students understand how shifting their perspectives can positively impact their learning and personal growth.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and families who joined us for our very first EXPO Day! Instead of just sharing information about our curriculum, we aimed to give you an immersive experience into your child's learning journey and the "Leader in Me" lessons. Parents explored the hallways, attended classes, and reviewed daily schedules and school policies. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with teachers and engage with our school community. We also hope you enjoyed the Anthem food bags! Stay tuned for more upcoming EXPO Daysâwe can't wait to welcome you back!
