Anderson Elementary School participates in Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day
Students, teachers, staff members, and administrators at Anderson Elementary School and COMPASS participated in the Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day earlier this month. Organized nationally by the Ruby Bridges Foundation, this is an annual day of dialogue to commemorate Ruby's historic steps. By participating in the walk, students continue the conversation and take part in their own forms of activism to bring an end to racism and all forms of bullying.
Hecklinski, Lewis, and Shannon named to Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame
Basketball is passion, and that passion is shown throughout the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. D26 Culinary students compete in World Food Championships
Students in the Culinary Arts program at the District 26 Career Center participated in the World Food Championships in Indianapolis earlier this month. Logan Humphrey (Chef), Judith Barraza (Sous Chef), and Noah Kendall (Assistant Chef) participated in a competition to prepare a healthy pork dish in just one hour. In a very competitive field, the team finished in 6th place.
