CPS Strategic Planning Process: As you have seen in Superintendent Shannon's emails and newsletter, she is looking for parent/caregiver participation in the upcoming Strategic Planning process. There are three ways to participate: family forums, surveys, or as a committee member. The survey will be sent out to the whole community on January 25th. One final parent forum is being held via Zoom on January 22 @ 6:00 pm (This link will be provided to families closer to the date of the forum.) The deadline for submitting interest in being a committee member has passed.

New Middle & High School Feasibility Study: The feasibility study for the potential new middle and high school building is entering its next phase where conceptual designs will be shared. You are invited to attend the next feasibility public forum on Tuesday, January 28th @ 6:30pm in the CMHS auditorium. Ai3, the district's architects, will be there to share several conceptual designs for a potential middle/high school project. These designs will fall into several categories: code upgrades only, addition/renovation, addition/demolition/renovation, and new construction. We hope you are able to attend -- these decisions will directly impact our current elementary school students who would potentially be the first to benefit from a new building.

Grade 3's First Annual Winter Games STEAM Challenge: Grade 3 students activated their engineering brains with engaging science rotations during today's early release day. It was great to see students problem solve how to make their ice skaters twirl and their skiers and hockey pucks travel the farthest distance.

Hugo's R&R: Hugo had a routine procedure at the vet this week (iykyk) and so is recuperating for the next couple of weeks. He can't wait to get back to his Deer Hill friends!
