Hello Houdini Families,

As we are focusing on improving attendance this school year, here is an update on our attendance data for the month of September.

Overall, we have had 301 total days of absence among all Houdini Students.

Houdini overall attendance rate: 96.83%

Kindergarten: 96.90%

First Grade: 96.95%

Second Grade: 97.36%

Third Grade: 96.66%

Fourth Grade: 96.20%

Fifth Grade: 97.01%

Thank you for working together with us toward achieving our school goals. It continues to be important for our students to be in school as nothing can replicate learning that is missed on a daily basis. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with you throughout the school year.

Please follow the link below to sign up for parent/teacher conferences. Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd and Thursday, October 24th.

Please help make this event a success - only need to commit to 1 hour in the evening!

• Work the concession stand for one hour
• Help keep the inflatables line organized and moving for one hour
• Monitor the face painting line and punch punchcards for one hour

Please see the flyer below to find your grade level's theme! All donations may be brought to the office or sent to school with your child. If you know of any local businesses who would like to donate a gift basket or gift certificate, please let us know and a volunteer will contact that business.

Houdini is in need of donations of the following items:

• Girls clothing/underwear - size 8 and up preferred, but any size appreciated!
• Disinfecting wipes - any brand

All donations can be dropped off in the health room or main office.

Appleton Area School District offers free developmental screenings for all children between the ages of Birth-5 prior to Kindergarten. Children must live in the Appleton Area School District. Please see the link below for more information.
