OPS-Parent Voice Survey
We care deeply about our students and families. Your feedback makes us better and stronger.
Please take a moment to complete the Culture/Climate Portion of the Parent Voice survey. Students from grades 5-12 will receive the survey, too.
Your responses are completely anonymous, and we use them at each school across our district to focus on improvement.
Here’s the link: Parent Voice Survey.
Thank you for your time. We appreciate it.
School Improvement
Assessment Update
Juniors will take the ACT on Tuesday, April 9. Only 11th grade/third year students will attend school that day.
Assessment has been a key topic in Eagle Time recently:
- Juniors have been busy creating their MyACT accounts in preparation for testing.
- Sophomores have learned that now is the time to start having conversations with their families about when to take their first Saturday ACT. A good target for most students is December or February of their junior year, though some students choose to start earlier.
Students’ scores tend to improve when they retest, and better scores lead to additional opportunities and choices for students after high school. More information is available at https://www.act.org/.
All Central students have access to high quality ACT prep software. It may be accessed at http://onlineprep.act.org.

Freshman Academy
Freshman Academy Adventures
There are only eight weeks left in our Freshman's first year of high school and it has been a wonderful year! The Freshman class of 2027 has shown tremendous growth and maturity, and we could not be prouder of the students we have the privilege of working with every day. We have a full schedule for our Freshman Academy in the weeks ahead: On April 2nd, mark your calendars for Flip Fabrique: Blizzard, a captivating performance exclusively for our freshmen at 10:30 AM, at The Orpheum. In May, we have three exciting trips to the University of Nebraska Omaha for campus scavenger hunts for the whole Freshman class, and one lucky group will return for a tour of The Undesign the Redline Exhibit. Our Omaha community has been so welcoming to us on all of our adventures this year! We are will never forget our inspiring night at The Lion King on March 19th, and we are all so grateful to The Central High School Foundation and OPA who made it possible with their generosity! It was a truly a magical experience for us!
