November College Application Workshops
All workshops will be held during PERIODS 4, 5, and 6 in the College & Career Center.

Introduction to College for CLASS of 2023
Beginning week of November 15 and continue thru the week of January 10. / Periods 4, 5, or 6
JUNIORS will attend a series of 6 Information Sessions on how to start thinking about 4-year colleges and begin doing research and search in Scoir on finding the right fit.
Sessions are offered once a week durings PERIODS 4,5, & 6.
Students are expected to attend for the entire period and attendance will be taken by the College and Career Center. Students may bring lunch into their session.

- Finding the Academic Fit
- Finding the Social Fit
- Finding the Financial Fit

Career Presentation on Job Search and Job Skills
Wednesday, November 17
6th Period
This workshop is for JUNIOR and SENIOR students who are interested in job search help, application assistance, or interview skills.
Students will receive help on how to fill out applications and given job search resources in the community.

College Athletics Information Workshop
Friday, November 19
PERIODS 4, 5, & 6
OPEN to SENIORS & JUNIORS
Learn about academic eligibility and the overall college athletic recruitment process. Students are expected to attend the entire period and may bring their lunch in.

FAFSA Graduation Requirement
The State of Illinois is requiring ALL high school SENIORS to file a post-secondary financial aid application (FAFSA or the new IL Alternative Application for Financial Aid) OR submit a waiver to opt out of filing.

Transcript Requests
ZB students can request transcripts via Parchment: parchment.com
A transcript is a copy of a student's permanent academic record that contains courses taken and grades received. An official transcript is prepared and sent by the Student Services Registrar with an original signature of a school official.

4 Year College Application & Financial Aid PRIORITY DEADLINES
CLICK HERE for a sample of priority dates for both application and financial aid for Fall 2022 4-year college direct enrollment. This applies to the Class of 2022 going directly to the 4 year college.
Students should be doing 2 things at same time in the fall/winter of 12th grade:
Apply for admission
File FAFSA or the IL Alt- in the fall/winter of 12th grade.

Tour of Tech Campus
They had the opportunity to visit Tech Campus classrooms and hear presentations about each program by instructors and current students. This opportunity gave the ZB students a chance to see the campus along with what each specific course would look like should they enrol for the next school year.

Skilled Trades and Union Presentation
Monday, November 22
Lunch Periods - 4, 5, & 6
Open to JUNIOR and SENIOR students with interest in the skilled trades and Union programs. Students are welcome to bring their lunch in for the presentation.
Presentation will include Union sites in the area; the requirement, the application process, and the benefits. Included will be information about the trade opportunities in the area, the application process, and the benefit of a grade program.
