Summer School ~ June 2025:
Registration Closes April 25th!
Register your child(ren) HERE
Due to the construction of the new safe and secure entrance to Door 1 this summer, our June 10th Month program for Lake Agassiz will have our students attending class at Century Elementary School. A few things to keep in mind if you are considering this program for your child(ren):
- Bussing will be provided to Century Elementary.
- Make sure to register your child(ren) by April 25th to be included in the bussing route.
- Breakfast and lunch will be offered to all students.
- Lake Agassiz students will be assigned to classrooms together with our Lake Agassiz teachers as our priority. If enrollment for a grade level is higher (or too low) for one section, there may be carryover to a class with Century students.
- This programming is for students that are current in Grades K- 4th. 5th graders attend a separate summer program.
- Make sure to sign up so your child is included in that count and the transportation route each day to Century.
Introduction to Kindergarten ~ August 2025
- Register your child HERE
- Intro to Kindergarten will take place in the Head Start building that is attached to Lake Agassiz, due to construction on the main entrance. This will be a great advantage for our incoming kindergartners. This will give access to our playground, gym, music, and library, helping them transition more easily once school starts.

- Lake Agassiz PTO - 6:30 p.m. in the school library - Enter through Door 10
Wednesday, March 5th
- Early Release - School is dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
Monday, March 10th - Friday, March 14th
- No School - Spring Break
Friday, March 28th
- RED Event - Parent Presentation at 2:15 p.m. in the gym. Enter through Door 10. Read with your child at 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, April 8th
- Lake Agassiz PTO - 6:30 p.m. in the school library - Enter through Door 10
Wednesday, April 9th
- Early Release - School is dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 10th
- Kindergarten registration for the upcoming kindergartners for the fall of 2025 from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m.
Friday, April 18th
- No School - Holiday Break
Monday, April 21st
- No School - Holiday Break
Thursday, April 24th
- Multi Cultural Night 5 - 7 p.m.
Wednesday, May 30th
- Early Release - School is dismissed at 1:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 1st
- 5th Grade Program at 6:30 p.m.

Summer School Registration will be open from February 1 - April 15th with registration link HERE
Summer school (South, Schroeder, Twining) will be held June 2-27, 2025 with from 8:00-12:00 pm
Valley RISE Program will be held June 2-July 3
Open to incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students
English Language Arts (ELA) and Math
Multilingual program at South Middle School and Valley Middle School
Numbers will drive the locations and availability so register early!

Head Start Applications for 2025-2026
Grand Forks Head Start Preschool is accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year. Click on the QR code in the image below to apply online. An in-person Application Day will be held Friday, April 4th, from 8 am - 3:30 pm at 3600 6th Ave N, Door #3.
Volunteers Needed For Kindergarten & 1st Grade Reading Intramurals
We are excited to offer an opportunity for parents and guardians to come and read to our Kindergarten and 1st-grade students in the mornings. From 8:00 - 8:20 AM, volunteers can help kickstart our students’ day with a story as they wait for school to begin. If you'd like to sign up for a morning to read, simply click on the purple box below to register. We appreciate your support in fostering a love for reading!
