Staffing Update
I want to inform you regarding a change in 3rd grade. Ms. Weir, who has been on a leave of absence, was initially scheduled to return to her teaching position on November 11th. On November 13th, she spent time team-teaching with me to ensure she was up-to-date on where the students were in the curriculum. Throughout this time, Ms. Weir has consistently expressed her desire to prioritize what is in the best interest of the students. On Friday, we received notice of Ms. Weir’s resignation from her position.
While we work to find a permanent teacher, I will continue to be in the classroom most days, providing stability and support for our third-grade students. If you know any possible teachers looking to work in a Catholic school, please have them contact me.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this time. Please be aware that I will have limited time during the day to respond to your emails or any drop-in visits. My priority right now is teaching in the 3rd grade classroom.

Santa's Workshop-December 5-6
Santa’s Workshop is coming December 5th and 6th! For those new to Sacred Heart Catholic School, Santa’s Workshop is an opportunity for students to shop for their families for Christmas.
A large variety of gifts will be available for purchase for $1-$8/gift. Most students shop for their parents, siblings, and grandparents, but parents can help set the shopping list and budget with their student when the Santa’s Workshop envelope comes home just before Thanksgiving break. PTC volunteers will be present to help shoppers manage their budget and gift selection, but your input on the envelope is extremely helpful.
We want this to be a fun activity for all students, so if you are in need of financial assistance for your student(s) to shop, please indicate this by writing SNF (St. Nicholas Fund) next to your student(s) name. If you’d like to contribute to the St. Nicholas fund, please write SNF on the line next to “donate remaining funds to PTC”.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Frances de Kooker at francesrivera19@gmail.com, or for Espanol, Lola Fritz at lorenafritz@sacredheartschoolrobbinsdale.org.
Our 8th graders attended Osprey Wilds
Our 8th graders went to Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Camp on November 13-15. Osprey Wilds is an accredited K-12 Outdoor School that offers a wide range of educational opportunities for students through experiential learning. This trip aligns with our science curriculum in middle school.
Toy Drive for Sharing and Caring Hands
We will be collecting toys for boys and girls ages 1-16 for Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis. Please consider making Christmas merry by donating a new toy for a child in need. We are collecting toys now through Tuesday, December 10th. Please do not wrap any toys.
Thank you for considering donating a toy. Christmas is about giving to others.
Recycling of Plastic
It’s time to celebrate our successful drive!
9 new Ridwell members to go!
If a total of 10 members join through your webpage by December 15, the school earns free plastic film pickups all spring. We have 9 to go.
Remember, you still have about a month to earn every-other-week plastic film pickups at school and a Ridwell field trip for up to 50 students and grown-ups. This period after your plastic film drive is prime time to inspire folks to give Ridwell a try!
Must-know info:
* You get closer to your goal when new Ridwell members sign up through your school’s webpage.
* Track your tally on your school’s page, too! Your count will go up for every new member who joins Ridwell on your page or through an email we send that mentions your school.
* The deadline for new members to join is December 15.

Christmas Play-December 12 6:15 pm
The Sacred Heart Christmas production of "The Nutcracker" is fast approaching! Grades 1, 3, 5, and 7 are performing for the school at 12:20 pm and our performance for family and friends will be at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, December 12.
Please have the seventh graders arrive at school that night at 5:15 p.m. with costumes ready to go, so we can practice any last minute things. Grades 1, 3, and 5 should arrive by 6:00 p.m. to meet their teachers in the Marian rooms. All involved have been working really hard and we are looking forward to a great performance!

Give to the Max Day
As November draws near, so does Minnesota's giving holiday, Give to the Max Day on November 21st. Sacred Heart Catholic School will be participating but will also be launching our 30 Days of Giving campaign on November 1st. Each day we'll highlight why it is so important to support our greatest and more important asset, our children!
We hope you'll prayerfully consider a gift during the month of November to support our many academic and extracurricular programs! By supporting Sacred Heart Catholic School, you are making a profound investment in the leaders of tomorrow—individuals equipped not only with academic excellence but also with the resilience and moral integrity necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving world. Our graduates leave Sacred Heart with a solid foundation that enables them to engage meaningfully with their communities and navigate life's challenges with confidence. Need help paying for tuition?
MN Fundraising Initiative (MNFI) secures contracts with over 23 venues in the greater Twin Cities area including Target Field, Target Center, Canterbury, and US Bank to operate food and beverage concessions stands at their events.
MNFI organizes teams of volunteers from all over the state of MN and WI who work together to run these stands. In turn, MNFI receives donations from these venues. The donations are then used to award grants to families in local communities to allow youth to attend private school, such as Sacred Heart Catholic School and participate in enrichment activities they may not otherwise be able to enjoy. Checks are mailed directly to Sacred Heart in your name.
Many of our school families use this organization to help pay for tuition.
Click on the website and create an account by clicking on the “Volunteer registration”.
