Weather Preparation
Parents & Guardians
With winter upon us we need to be aware of making sure students come to school with a jacket. Our policy for allowing students to go outside for recess is as follows.
Winter Inclement Weather: Icy/snowy conditions that make outside recess unsafe will constitute inside recess. In addition, 32-35o wind chills will constitute inside recess.
If there is active precipitation, students will not go outside for recess.
You can always find this information in the Heritage Trails Parent & Student Guidebook located on our website under Parents Center.
During the colder months we see an increase in students behavior issues from being inside more. With this in mind we attempt to take the students out for outside recess as often as the weather allows. Please make sure they always have a coat. Gloves and a hat are also highly recommended.
If you need any assistance with a coat, gloves or hat for your student please contact Mrs. Stafford at pamelastafford@mooreschools.com. We are always happy to help out our families.
Moore Love
Hey families!
The district's Moore Love fundraising is coming up soon! This year we are raising funds for: Regional Food Bank, Moore Faith Medical Center,Fostering Sweet Dreams, Moore Police Department: Safety Town, and MPS Foundation: Bridges Capital Campaign.
Our Student Council is working hard to come up with some exciting fundraising tasks, and we can't wait to share them with you! To get a head start, we are sending out this online campaign. I will send weekly reminders on ParentSquare. Please feel free to share with friends and families! Just make sure you see our Hawk logo, so it counts toward our school!
All you have to do is click on the link below, select the amount you wish to donate, fill out the information, and hit submit! https://givebutter.com/MooreLove2024/heritagetrailselementary1

The Giving Tree
Heritage Trails had another extremely successful year with our annual giving tree! Thank you to everyone who helped make this a success. We provided 20 families with gifts. This would not be possible without all of you!
Nurses Nook
Students and Parents, please make sure you are washing your hands! Flu season is upon us along with other viruses. Take the opportunity over Fall Break to disinfect backpacks and jackets.
Any medications that your child needs to take at school, a Medication Consent form needs to be filled out by parent and Physician. If you need a Medication Consent form please contact the Nurses office.
