Well, hello there!

We have been busy over here preparing our building and classrooms to receive our beloved students in just a few short days!

If you are reading this newsletter, please share it with three other families! We want everyone to be in the know about what is going on in the Carver Village!

We can't wait to see you on Monday! We may also have some special guests such as Mayor London Breed, Superintendent Vincent Matthews, and Supervisor Shamann Walton!

We are officially 5 days away from our First Day of School!!

As a reminder:

Our first day in school will be in-person on Monday, August 16, 2021!

On the first day, please have your child at school by 8:20 AM for the Carver Red Carpet Experience.

School ends at 2:55 PM, everyday, except Wednesdays.

Wednesday, school ends at 1:40 PM.

Please ensure your child has on the full uniform on the first day.

If your child has a chromebook, they may bring it on the first day. If they do not bring it, that is okay, as well.

Classroom educators have begun to call and introduce themselves to families and answer questions about our first days and weeks of school.

Please be on the lookout for a phone number from either Carver Office or a personal cell phone number from a teacher!

We want to tap in with all families before our first big day!

We are excited to invite all students to the Carver Red Carpet Experience on the First Day of School!!

Students will line up at 8:25 in front of our building, listen to a greeting and welcome by the Principal, then they will be ushered and cheered into the new school year and into the building! This will be a special experience and we do not want students to miss out!!

A few notes:

-Scholars will complete a verbal health screening with our school nurse before joining their classmates in line.

-Parents and families will not be permitted into the building on the first day. We are still observing health and safety protocols at this time.

-Families are welcomed to cheer for students at the Red Carpet or parking lot!

-Please remember to send your child to school with a mask.

-Get your scholar excited now!!! It's BACK TO SCHOOL TIME!

Here are examples of the Carver uniform.

Uniforms can be purchased at Dennis Uniforms (590 10th St. SF, 94103)

Scholars may also wear a white polo or collard shirt, and navy blue slacks or skirt instead of the plaid uniforms skirt.

Please ensure that students wear closed-toe shoes, and no Crocs. Crocs present a danger to ankles and feet during recess and PE activities. Thank you for your cooperation.
