HIGH SCHOOL SCHEDULING UPDATE
RIGHT NOW: Online scheduling begins next week! This is the week-long window of time when students will enter their elective course requests online. A hard copy of these instructions were mailed home earlier this month. An electronic copy is included on the SHS scheduling website www.sycamoreschools.org/SHSscheduling. Scheduling-specific usernames and passwords will be emailed to students today.
UP NEXT: After courses are entered online, counselors will meet with students one-on-one to review those requests and answer all questions. We will meet with current 8th graders through their history classes during the week of March 1. This will be done both in-person and virtually so that every students can meet with their counselor to discuss and review their selections.

After School Pickup
If you missed last week's message, please read below:
Due to the return of some of our virtual students to the F2F classroom and the increase of students being picked up after the end of winter athletics, we have seen a surge in car traffic at dismissal time. The administration is aware of the issue and is working on solutions.
PLEASE be patient as we re-adjust.
We believe that, in addition to the increase in student numbers, the backups onto Cooper Road are compounded by the early arrival of parents into the pickup line. The number of cars sitting stationary for an extended period causes extreme backups until the students are released at 2:57 p.m.
PLEASE help us - if you are picking up your child, do NOT arrive on campus prior to 2:45 p.m. Please, also understand that 3 lanes of car traffic may be necessary to get cars off of Cooper Road and onto the property. Again, grace and patience are important!
There will be an extra administrative and police presence at pickup to facilitate dismissal. Until we are able to manage this issue together, please prepare for extra time. Thank you for your cooperation.
