April 10, 2025

From Mrs. Hawk
There has been a lot of news sent to you this week, and I hope you've been able to keep up with it all. I am so honored that I have been chosen to lead the consolidated SRE/EE school in 26-27 and to remain with our students and staff through this transition and for many years to come. My heart is so full with all of the support we have received from our community!
What I would really like to highlight this week, however is our amazing students! Our 3rd - 6th graders have had a packed week of CMAS testing and they have worked so hard to persevere through multiple hours a day of testing in both language arts in math. I have always told my students that there is nothing harder on these tests than the rigorous work we do every day in class, and that they just need to take the time to work just as hard during CMAS as they do each day. I also appreciate how supportive our younger students have been in encouraging our intermediate students and keeping our building quiet and calm for our testing times. I am so proud of the focus and effort that have gone into this week across our building.
Finally, I am so thankful to our PTIO and auction committee parents who are putting in tons of work for our spring auction this week. I hope to see you all on Saturday evening for a fun night celebrating our community!
Future Pairing Community Meetings
Thank you for taking the time to ask questions and learn more about the future pairing of Saddle Ranch Elementary to Eldorado Elementary. Understandably, I have heard questions and concerns from many of our families and want to provide as much additional information and details about what to expect, and about how this pairing was decided. I hope you will take a few moments to review the information below, and will attend an upcoming community meeting.
Reminder: Upcoming Community Meetings
I encourage you to join Eldorado Elementary Principal Julie Crawford and me for an upcoming community meeting. This is an opportunity for our school communities to come together and talk with school district leadership. During these meetings, our community will hear more information about the school pairing and leadership transition. There will also be time for questions and answers.

Note from our Mr. Renker
Hello SRE families.
It is with reluctance and sadness that I write to inform you that I will be moving on from Saddle Ranch at the end of this school year. With the uncertainty around the consolidation and the unique position one-of-one teachers such as myself are in, I felt it was best to look for a favorable position in-district now instead of facing potential uncertainty next spring.
I want to thank you all for sharing your children with me in P.E. I've had a blast these past few years getting to see them grow and witnessing their successes in all our games and activities. Thank you all for letting me be part of this special community.
Best wishes,
Scott Renker
Join our School Accountability Committee!
Interested in how the school spends its funds and makes decisions? Want to provide feedback and ideas to the leadership team on school operations? Join SAC for next year as we help facilitate ideas into action. We are looking for two members, DAC LIASON and SAC recorder. We would gladly welcome your application to join our team! Please fill out this attached application by April 25th if you are interested. Feel free to reach out to Mrs. Hawk with questions about the SAC or these positions.
- The DAC (District Accountability Liaison) attends all scheduled forums and gathers information from DAC meetings to report back to the SAC. The DAC report should be listed on the SACs agenda and included in the SACs scheduled meeting dates. The DAC Liaison is the communication link (feed back, concerns, questions) between SAC and DAC.
- The SAC recorder is responsible for attending all meetings and taking minutes of the meeting.
- Both positions are voting members of the School Accountability Committee
