Rock Hill Review
September 29, 2024
A Minute with Mouton
Rock Nation,
As we reflect on another exciting week on The Hill, I'm reminded of what makes Rock Hill truly special – it's you, our incredible community. Your support, enthusiasm, and dedication continue to make our school a beacon of excellence. We are, indeed, Rock Solid. I want to highlight a couple of important events happening this week:
PSAT/NMSQT Day - Wednesday (9th-11th Graders)
It's time for our 9th-11th graders to shine! Remember:
- No cell phones allowed for testers until 2 PM
- No student check-outs until 2 PM
Seniors, please report to the campus auditorium at 12:10 PM with a device to scan the attendance QR code.
To our test-takers: Stay focused, stay confident, and know that the entire Rock Hill community is rooting for you. You've got this!
Friday Night Lights: Rock Hill vs. Prosper
After our thrilling victory against Plano West, we're gearing up for an epic showdown with our crosstown rivals. Join us at Children's Health Stadium on Friday night to cheer on our Blue Hawks. Let's be loud, respectful, and proud!
Don't forget, it's a Western theme as we "BOOT OUT THE EAGLES"! And keep that Rock Solid spirit high for our pep rally on Friday – who will claim the spirit stick this week?
College 101 Panel
Students and parents, don't miss this invaluable opportunity to learn about the college experience from Collin College experts. It's never too early to start planning for your future!
Rock Hill family, your dedication to excellence, both in and out of the classroom, is what makes us truly Rock Solid - ICSEEU. Whether it's excelling on standardized tests, showing our school spirit at games, or preparing for future endeavors, you consistently demonstrate the strength and unity that define our community.
As we navigate another week filled with opportunities and challenges, remember that we are always stronger together. Let's continue to support one another, celebrate our successes, and face any obstacles with the resilience that is what makes us Rock Nation.
Here's to another Rock Solid week on The Hill!
Rock Hill Rock Solid!

September Star Polishers
Our September Star Polishers are Mrs. Laura Spear and Mrs. Shirley Davis! Mrs. Spear is an outstanding Science Teacher who consistently goes above and beyond to make learning engaging and fun for our students. Mrs. Davis, a dedicated Paraprofessional, has been a true asset in supporting our students and staff, always bringing a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
We are incredibly grateful for the passion and dedication both of these amazing women bring to The Hill each day. Thank you for making a difference, Mrs. Spear and Mrs. Davis!

Rock Solid Highlight - Experience Prosper ISD
This year Prosper ISD is providing the community a new experience to learn more about the programs that are offered in CTE: Experience Prosper! The event will be hosted in October, November, and December.
Experience Prosper ISD will be a committee of 7th and 8th-grade parents with the goal of having hands-on experiences with how students learn today; for parents to sit in their child's seat for an evening. Experiences will be led by various department leadership, classroom teachers and students.
Our October highlight will be the Arts & AV Program and Health Sciences will follow in November. We are incredibly proud of our CTE programs, teachers, and students and look forward to the committee learning more about the incredible impact of these experiences and opportunities.

CTE
On September 19, 2024, law enforcement students engaged in a hands-on experience that provided significant insights into the legal system to enhance their comprehension of courtroom processes and the historical context of law within their community. Students took part in several activities including a jury trial presided over by Judge Christine Nowak, participated in the voir dire process, and examined historical civil and criminal cases from 19th-Century Collin County.
