Message from the Principal
Dear Kennedy High School Parents and Community,
What an incredible first week of school we’ve had! As I visited classrooms, I was thrilled to witness students actively participating in community-building activities and forming strong connections with their teachers. The enthusiasm and positive energy were contagious!
On our first day, I was greeted with countless "high-fives" from students eager to earn their temporary shamrock tattoos. It was a heartwarming display of school spirit! And on Friday, I was amazed by the sea of green as our students proudly wore their Fighting Irish colors. It was also an absolute joy to watch our talented Marching Band and Cheerleading squad perform at our roaming rally during fourth period.
We have a packed week of events coming up! On Monday, August 12th, our Flag Football team will compete at Segerstrom High School. Tuesday, August 13th, features a Volleyball Green & White Game in our Main Gym at 6:00pm. Our Varsity Flag Football team takes on Anaheim High School at Kennedy on Wednesday, August 14th, with the game starting at 4:30pm. Thursday, August 15th, marks the beginning of our Late Start Bell Schedule, meaning no zero period and first period starting at 9:25am. Our Girls' Volleyball team will play at La Mirada High School that same day.
Friday, August 16th, is Make-up Picture Day and another Fighting Irish Green Friday! We'll wrap up the week with our first dance of the school year, the Welcome Back Dance. Tickets are $15 with an ASB card or $20 without.
To help us continue to improve our school, please remember to complete the Kennedy Needs and Assets Survey. Your input is invaluable as we strive to "go from good to great."
Please review the attached flyers for important school policies.
We look forward to a fantastic year filled with academic growth, school spirit, and community involvement. Thank you for your continued support of Kennedy High School.
Sincerely,
Poppy Hill-Bonales
