A Positive Approach to Promoting Attendance
Dear Franklin Academy Families,
At Franklin Academy, we believe in highlighting and celebrating the positive contributions our students make, and we are excited to announce a new initiative focused on encouraging attendance in a positive way. Rather than focusing on absences, we will be recognizing and celebrating students who demonstrate consistent attendance and commitment to learning.
Starting next week, we will introduce a School Attendance Board that will feature students with perfect attendance each week, giving them the recognition they deserve for their dedication to being present and engaged in school. We want to motivate all our students to take pride in their attendance.
In addition to celebrating these successes, we also want to support students who may be struggling with attendance. We will be identifying students who are chronically absent and working closely with their families to address challenges and find solutions. Our goal is to offer support and encouragement, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
We appreciate your partnership in fostering a positive and supportive environment for your child’s education. Together, we can help them thrive!

We are thrilled to shine the spotlight on a truly dedicated educator who has been with Franklin Academy since 2018, Mr. Marc Rodriguez.
Mr. Rodriguez has a passion for helping students who struggle with mathematics, and his commitment to their growth and success is unmatched. Whether it’s offering extra help after school or finding creative ways to explain difficult concepts, he is always there to support his students.
Known for his huge heart and always being polite and caring, Mr. Rodriguez goes above and beyond to ensure that every student feels seen, understood, and capable of achieving their best.
We are grateful to have such a compassionate and dedicated educator as part of our Franklin Academy family. Thank you, Mr. Rodriguez, for your unwavering commitment to our students!
Dual Enrollment
Spring 2025 Dual Enrollment is now open. If you are interested in Dual Enrollment, please send an email to your school counselor. The deadline is October 4! In order to be eligible for dual enrollment you need the following requirements:
- 3.0 GPA
- Apply for Broward College as a Dual Enrollment Student
- Take the Accuplacer test and get the college level test scores. Writing (253-300), Reading (256-300), Math (261-300)
It is imperative that you set an appointment with your school counselor to check your eligibility and to receive the link on the next steps to enroll. Please see below links to set up a meeting with your counselor (you must sign into your Franklin Academy account to use the link).
FortifyFL
FortifyFL is a suspicious activity reporting tool that allows you to instantly relay information to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials. All Franklin Academy students have access to FortifyFL via their Clever portal dashboard.
