Holy Rosary
NEWSLETTER | TERM 4| WEEK 6| 15 NOV 2024
Last Friday was all about family! 🥰👵👴 Our students enjoyed a special Grandparents Day filled with delicious lunches and heartwarming classroom visits. A huge thank you to all the grandparents for making the day extra special! 💖✨
Author Lydia Wylie-Kellermann describes her approach to helping her children fall in love with a place:
When I think about parenting in this moment, I often think about the words from the Senegalese environmentalist Baba Dioum, who said, and I paraphrase, “You can’t save a place you don’t love. You can’t love a place you don’t know. And you can’t know a place you haven’t learned.”
I think that is some of the most important and radical work we can do as parents of young kids: help them learn the land that holds them. By doing so we are nurturing them to fall in love with this place—and ultimately that love may lead to imagination and action for climate justice….
Hi Everyone,
Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual School Community Meeting on Tuesday. This is an important opportunity to hear about so much of the work undertaken this year in this community by so many. This is what makes community real and we are so incredibly grateful for your support.
Class arrangements for 2025 were revealed this week. These take plenty of investment and I thank our staff for doing exactly that. The Transition Day has been wonderful where the children have had the opportunity to meet their teachers. Kindy ‘Get to Know You Day’ takes place on Monday and we hope that the Kindy 2025 Gang and their parents love this opportunity too!
It is P&F Party Time next Friday, on the oval 3.30-6.30. Hope to see you there!
Have a lovely weekend

Transition, Class Lists and Staffing 2025
Transitions this week were fantastic. Children know their classes and have had the chance to meet together and hang out with their teacher for 2025, together with the new children joining them from other schools. What a great opportunity to connect. Many I know will catch up again over the holidays, which is wonderful.
By now you will have received both the class lists together with the staff list for 2025. Class lists take a lot of work to bring to fruition and I thank all in our team for being so invested in the process.
To all of you, thank you for your contribution to making 2024 such a good year. We are truly grateful for all that you have done in your time here and wish you every success and every happiness for 2025.

SEQTA Engage Parent Log-in to access reports
It is important that you please check your log in for SEQTA Engage as early as possible so that you will be able to access your child's report at the end of this term.
To do this you need to go to the following site:

2025 Booklists
Parents are reminded that the 2025 school booklists were distributed today via SeeSaw.
Please note that the cut-off date to submit your orders to Campion is Friday 6th December.
It was a very emotional final library session with our Year 6’s this week. I read to them for the last time “Oh the Places You’ll Go” by Dr Seuss and we talked about challenges ahead, making good choices and always being kind. Their Holy Rosary friends and community will always be a big part of their lives and I hope they have enjoyed their years of library sessions (and chats). 6C made it extra special by all remembering their library bags and books and have taken out the Library Trophy for the last time in 2024. Well done to you all! I wish them all the very best for high school and the years ahead and hope they take very fond memories with them.
This week, all classes borrowed for the last time for the year. All library books must be returned by next week, Week 7 on your usual library day. Along with the books borrowed this week, there are 77 overdues. If your child has a lost or damaged library book, they must replace it by week 7. Do not hesitate to email me should you have any queries. Thank you for your support of your school library.
