Upcoming Events
How do we gallery walk!?
K-5 artists will guide their families throughout the school explaining their art masterpieces. Be sure to walk throughout each hallway. The masterpieces are not only by the artist's classroom. You will find art everywhere! The gallery walk timeline is a guideline, yet not a requirement (5:00 - 6:00 PM gallery walk K, 1, 2) (7:00 - 8:00 PM gallery walk 3, 4, 5). We would appreciate quiet hallways during the music concert (6:00-7:00 PM), a great time to enjoy the chalk and food outside.
Who is in the music concert!?
The music concert will be in the big gym for the families of the 4th Grade Choir, 5th Grade Choir, 5th Grade Honor Choir, 5th Grade Hand chimes, 4th/5th Grade Folkdance, 5th Grade Orchestra collaboration with Eagles 5th Grade Orchestra.
When will the food trucks be there!?
There will be one hot meal food truck with Jumbo's mac and cheese, hot dogs, nachos, and sloppy joes. There will be two cold dessert food trucks with Sweet Treats' ice cream and desserts. As well as one beverage truck with lemonade and water. All food trucks will be available for purchase 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Please see attached photos of both food truck menus.
What is chalk paint!?
Outside there will be chalk paint and chalk to create more art on the cement by the front doors. Once the supplies are gone, they are gone! Chalk paint is a chalk powder (non-toxic, washable) mixed with water in a squeeze plastic bottle.
THANK YOU to everyone who will be celebrating our artists on Thursday, May 16th! Night of the Arts is an event to enjoy voluntary as a Centennial community. The goal is for every hallway to be filled with art created by every artist and every Art Club member during the end of the second semester. Each artist who attends this event needs to be with a grown-up.
