It’s a busy time at BA, and we have lots of exciting things coming up! Picture Day is just around the corner, so be sure to have those smiles ready! 📸 Details on dates and ordering will be coming soon.
For our future Cougars, we have some fun 8th Grade events on the horizon to welcome them into the BA spirit! 🎉 Keep an eye out for more information on how your 8th grader can join in on the excitement.
And for our current students, the countdown to semester exams has begun! 📝 This is a great time to start preparing, study in small intervals, and reach out to teachers for any extra help. Let’s finish this semester strong, Cougars! 💚

Congratulations to the BA JROTC Orienteering Team Competing in the Harry Moss Orienteering Competition Team:1st Place Raul Lopez and Violeta Calvillo, 2nd Place Anthony Carcamo and Tamyia Long and 3rd Place Madelin Mendoza.
Mariachi UIL WINS!
Mariachi Verde dominated at the Region 20 All-Region Auditions. Out of 85 students to audition, only 20 students make the group. 10 of them are BA students!! Congratulations to the following students for earning a spot in the All-Region Mariachi

Counselors Chat & Chew- was a great opportunity for middle school counselors to gather knowledge and information about what differentiates the BA Program from other choice schools . They also heard accounts by our student ambassadors, Aidan and Emmanuella

Thanksgiving Meals 11/20
🍁🦃 Get ready to gobble up some gratitude! 🍂✨
Our amazing Food & Child Nutrition Services team is bringing the Thanksgiving spirit to campus on Wednesday, November 20th, with a special lunch feast! Let’s gather, give thanks, and enjoy a heartwarming meal that brings our Cougar community together. 🧡
🌟 Here's what’s on the menu:
- Roasted turkey breast with gravy
- Cornbread stuffing muffins
- Green bean casserole
- Savory sweet potatoes
- Fresh apples & crisscross applesauce 🍎🍏
- And a delightful harvest cookie! 🍪
🥗 Vegetarian options will be available too! Adult meals are just $5 (a-la-carte pricing won’t apply).
Parents, if you'd like to join us, please bring a valid ID to check in with our Raptor System. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🧡🍂
📸 Picture Day is Coming!
Smile, BA! Picture Day for 9th – 11th graders will take place during Social Studies classes on November 19 & 20.
- P-TECH students will have a special time scheduled to ensure they don’t miss their college classes.
- 12th graders are required to take their senior portraits with Logan’s Photography to be included in the yearbook.
Make sure to dress your best and mark your calendars—these photos will last a lifetime!
Creative Writing Shirts for Sale
Creative Writing shirts now on Sale! You can purchase them from room H205 (Mr. Lamb) or from a CW student. Sale ends 11/19!
📚 EOC Retests and ACP Testing Information
Mark your calendars! EOC Retests are scheduled for the week of December 2-6:
- English I – Monday, 12/2
- English II – Tuesday, 12/3
- Biology & U.S. History – Wednesday, 12/4
- Algebra I – Thursday, 12/5
In addition, ACP Testing will take place the week of December 16.
Detailed testing schedules will be shared with students and staff before Fall Break on 11/22.
Please plan accordingly and encourage your students to prepare for these important assessments!

8th Grade Pep Rally and Open House - January 2025
Hello BA Families! 🎉
We’re so excited to invite our future Cougars and their families to two upcoming events! 🐾 Join us on January 17th for our 8th Grade Pep Rally 🎺, where you’ll get to experience the incredible BA spirit and see what makes our school community so special!
