Hello Shorewood Families and Friends,

Monday is the first day of the third semester! This is the beginning of one of my favorite times of the year when we see lots of "blossoming" starting to happen not only with the plants outside but with our student's progress at school. To the end, report cards will go live for families on Friday, February 2nd in Infinite Campus. (Reminder that we do not send home paper copies.) These are a marker of where students are at this point in the year and provide direction for skills to work on for the remainder of the year. Our spring parent-teacher conferences on April 11th (evening) and 12th (all day) provide a checkpoint for how students are progressing toward end-of-year standards. Of course if you have questions or concerns in the interim, please reach out to your student's teacher. Other than that, we have just a few announcements below and I hope everyone is having a great 3-day weekend.

As we approach second semester, we continue to work on the district-wide attendance goal of 90%. Next week, your student will bring home a current an attendance information sheet. You may also, at any time, look at their attendance via the Parent Portal on Infinite Campus. Forgot your login info? Please let Nadine or Rachael know and we will help you out!

Learning Showcase is coming soon!

All families are invited to see a showcase of student learning in classrooms and throughout the building. More details to come!

All MMSD schools are now using a program called Peachjar as a place to post school-related flyers. This is an effort to save paper and streamline communication.
