Principal's Message
Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:
Hello Pirate Nation! I hope you had an enjoyable summer filled with making memories. We are excited to have everyone back on campus and ready to have a terrific school year. High School is an amazing opportunity for students to prepare for their future. PHS has made a long-standing commitment to provide students with personalized learning experiences to prepare them for college, career, and life.
Serving as your principal is just as great of an honor as it is a responsibility. I believe that the basis of our future accomplishments will be found in the control of our combined efforts and the strength of our collaboration. I look forward to meeting and working with you all.

Announcements
We are excited to welcome back all our students tomorrow. It is important for students to check their schedule on their portal today. Many updates and changes have occurred since Meet the Teacher. Students will report directly to their 1st period class listed on their schedule tomorrow. Give yourself some additional time tomorrow as the traffic will be heavy. We start at 7:15am.
Schedule Changes:
If your student is requesting a schedule change and their request falls under one of the approved guidelines, please make sure to complete and submit the online change request form. The form will be active again starting on Monday. If your students have any questions, please have them see Dr. Swackard during lunch.
Student Parking:
If your student plans to park on campus, please make sure they have purchased their parking permits. Any student still needing to purchase a parking permit can see Ms. Roberts during lunch.
Dress Code:
Please make sure that your student has reviewed the dress code on the district website within the Student Code of Conduct and ensures their outfits meet the criteria. Students not meeting the criteria will be asked to change and possibly call home if necessary.
School Pictures:
School Pictures will be on Friday, October 4th. Students will take pictures through their English class. If your student takes an off-campus English class, they can take their pictures during their lunch.
Sports Information:
Anyone interested in playing football, please see Coach Hicks in the weightroom.
Anyone interested in participating in girl’s golf, please see Coach Webb in room 4-205.
Anyone interested in participating in boy’s golf, please see Coach Wilks in the portable 11.
Anyone interested in swimming, please see Ahrens or Riley in building 6 or 15.
Anyone interested in cross country, please see Coach Gates in portable 10.
Anyone interested in volleyball, please see Coach Tejada in 7-005.
Parent Volunteers:
If you are interested in being a volunteer for PHS, please make sure you have visited the Pasco County Schools website and complete the volunteer application.
PTSA:
Pasco High School has a very active PTSA. We would like to invite all parents that would like to be a part of this phenomenal group to the first meeting on August 27th @ 6:00pm in the front office.
Cambridge Information:
Cambridge results for the June 2024 exam series will be available to view starting on Tuesday afternoon. Paper result pick-up will be available on Wednesday with Mr. Ellis and Ms. Chacon. If you wish to retake an exam, the deadline to register is Friday, August 16th. We do apologize for this quick turnaround, but these dates are set by Cambridge and there is not any flexibility.
Freshman:
Any freshman that is interested in running for student council, please make sure you have scanned the QR code in the newsletter to complete your application.

New to Pasco County and need to register?
Wireless Communication Device Policy
Please make sure you are aware of the Wireless Communication Device (WCD) Policy for Pasco High School. There is a change from last year. Students will only be able to use their WCD's during lunch. Also, it is important to note that the policy includes headphones/earbuds. It is imperative that you understand and plan to follow this policy starting on day one of the school year. If you have any questions, please reach out to administration. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUEST
The form will be active starting on Monday, August 12th.
Parents and Students: Scan the QR code below use if you would like to request a change to your schedule. This is NOT a guarantee that the change will be approved. Remember that most approved changes will have a major effect on the rest of your schedule since many classes are only offered during certain periods. Please be very thoughtful and careful what you request. All specific teacher and lunch change request will be denied.
All students must have a minimum of 6 courses (3 credits) each semester. It is important to make sure that the courses you want to drop and the courses you want to add match the same amount of credits.
Due to the Class Size Amendment and master schedule restrictions, students may not receive one or more of their requested courses despite our best efforts.
2024-2025 Dress Code
Lockers
Reserve Your Locker
Please click on the form below and complete the required fields to reserve your locker. Payment is due prior to recieving your assigned locker. Payment is made through Rycor which is located in MyStudent (click on pay my fees). Lockers are $10.00. You will be emailed with your new locker and combination based upon your schedule. Please be sure to use an email you will check daily and verify it is correct. The lockers will be located as close as possible to your classrooms. NO OUTSIDE LOCKS WILL BE ALLOWED and WILL BE CUT OFF.

Football: Monday, August 12th - Friday, August 16th PHS Practice Field
Boy's Golf: Monday, August 5th - Thursday, August 8th 3:30pm at Scotland yards.
Girl's Golf: Monday, August 5th - Friday, August 9th 3:30pm at Scotland yards.
Volleyball: Wednesday, August 7th - Friday, August 9th from 4-6:30pm PHS Gym
Cross Country: Monday, August 5th - Friday, August 9th 3:30pm @ PHS Track
Boy's and Girl's Swim: More information to come. We will be swimming at St. Leo.
