We are excited for another great month of Eagle Traits at Cherry Creek Academy!
Vision and Hearing Screening - Message from the Nurse
The annual school vision and hearing screening will be taking place for Gr. K, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 on Thurs. Nov. 14th. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they are wearing them on the day of the screenings. If you would like to opt your child out of these screenings, please email Nurse Karen at klewis5@cherrycreekacademy.org.
Let CCA Know!
We want to hear from you! What is going well? What questions, concerns, or comments do you have? Interested in joining a committee or getting involved some other way? Please let us know here and we will work to address your questions in upcoming newsletters and/or in 1:1 communication. Fill out this form to Let CCA Know!
Monday Munchies Sign up!
Earn volunteer hours by providing snacks to the CCA staff every Monday. Store bought items equal one volunteer hour, and homemade items count as 2 volunteer hours. Sign up one week before you will bring snacks. We love taking care of our teachers and staff!
PTO Thanksgiving Baskets
The PTO Hospitality team is getting ready to prepare our wonderful Thanksgiving baskets that we do for the staff every year. The PTO will be purchasing items and building baskets. We would like to ask if you could please contribute a $5 dollar donation to help make these baskets special. You can send $5 dollars in cash in an envelope to the front office or you are welcome to Venmo Mrs. Sourial, our PTO Hospitality chair at My Venmo @Natalie-Sourial. The last four digits of her phone number are 3063. Thank you in advance for your help in making these special for our staff!
Original Works Art Fundraiser Coming Soon!
Dear Parents,
We’re excited to announce that we will be partnering with Original Works this Fall, the original art-based fundraising company! Students will create artwork at school and then you can have your child’s art reproduced onto a variety of keepsake products ranging from Mugs to Magnets. Ordering will be done online and will take place in October/November. The products make great holiday gifts for family members as well as wonderful keepsakes for the students. Orders will arrive at school before winter break. And the icing on the cake is our school earns a profit from every order placed! Complete details on how to order will be sent home soon. Thank you for supporting this unique and creative program!

Red Ribbon Week Recap from Fly Like an Eagle Committee
Fly Like an Eagle hosted a Red Ribbon Week assembly for seventh and eighth graders on Monday, October 28th, on the importance of having a healthy “E-Life” (Electronic Life). CCA is grateful to Mrs. Dani and Ms Ivy, from Diericks Law, for their presentation on protecting youth from internet predators, watching out for identity theft, and highlighting the increase in E-addiction amongst teens. Dani and Ivy would like to share a recommended sight for parents to raise awareness of teens and electronics. Common Sense Media is a website with a specific tab for parents called “Parent Tips and FAQs.” Click on this link to find many topics specific to E-Life health and protection.
