Bond Updates
As summer comes to a close, we are once again working to finish up another summer of construction projects, some of them coming down to the wire. We have parking lot work, gym floor, painting, air conditioning, and classroom flooring that are all finishing up over the next few short weeks prior to students returning.
At the elementary building, you'll notice the drive off of McClelland Road will be paved to help with the wet and winter month traffic. AC is being installed in all classrooms and C-Wing classrooms have had epoxy flooring installed. The gym has been painted and we have the remaining hallways planned to be painted in the very near future. New scoreboards will be installed at the baseball and softball fields this fall. Thank you to Isabella Bank for donating the funds for these new scoreboards. We also had a new early childhood playground feature that was installed this summer. We look forward to our young students playing this fall.
At the HS, we have had epoxy flooring installed in several classrooms, carpeting and paint in the media center, the HS gym floor being replaced, and the back bus garage parking lot being resurfaced. We also had some sewer drain work that was completed during this process.
As always, thank you for your continued support and flexibility as we navigate the construction process. I look forward to seeing our students on our first day, August 22nd.
-Wade Slavik, Superintendent
