Principal Message
I am excited for our 5th graders to attend Lorado Taft coming up Tuesday. Then we hope many of our Bobcats can walk to school Wednesday in honor of International Walk to School Day. There is no school Thursday in honor of Rosh Hashanah. Happy New Year to all of our wonderful Jewish families.
Communication is vital to our Beye community success. Please see the blurb below about signing up on the Konstella platform. Let's meet the goal of having one adult member of each Beye Family sign up by October 1.
National Walk to School Day coming up Wednesday, October 2
Please see the flier below from Mr. Simatic, our PE teacher. We hope your child(ren) can participate in the International Walk to School Day Wednesday, October 2. If that is not possible, students will have the opportunity to walk at lunch recess.
Save the Date - Math Night is Coming up on Tuesday, October 29
Please save October 29 on your calendar. More details will be coming soon, but we hope you can come for an important, brief PTO meeting to learn about this year's School Improvement Plan. A fun Math Night hour will follow.
Don’t want to miss opportunities to have fun in your child’s classroom or attend a social event?
Join our preferred PTO communication platform here: www.konstella.com/cd/O9AINQ
The PTO and your classroom leads (room parents) will use this program, Konstella, to organize class wide or schoolwide events for your children and you! It will also be a space to find out about volunteer opportunities or community gatherings.
We hope all students’ households will be represented with at least one adult on Konstella by October 1st. Here’s the registration link again: www.konstella.com/cd/O9AINQ

Updated Message Regarding our Beye Family from Ms. Janu-Chossek
Dear Beye Families,
Thank you for your generous contributions to our Bobcat family in need. Your overwhelming response to assist this family in the aftermath of their apartment fire is humbling. The family is so appreciative. At this time, since the family is living with relatives temporarily, we kindly ask , on their behalf, to hold further donations as they don't have any more space to accommodate. Once the family is able to return to their apartment, there may be other household needs depending on what is salvageable. Again, thank you so very much.
Beye Halloween Details
More details will be coming, but we want to let you know that we will be celebrating Halloween on October 31 in the afternoon. Please let the homeroom teacher and me know if you would prefer your child not participate.
11:40 - 12:35 Regular Recess and Lunch Time (Students can be picked up to go home for lunch and change into their costumes) **Survey indicating your preference coming next week.
1:10 - 1:40 Halloween Parade around the school campus block
1:40 - 2:40 Halloween parties in the classrooms (no food or drink)
3:00 Regular Dismissal
