Welcome to the Lebanon Owl Pages!
We hope you and your families have been having an enjoyable summer. The start of the school year is just around the corner and the excitement is building! We’ve had a very busy summer at Lebanon Elementary School with many children attending various summer programs in the Hanson School Building. Thanks to your support, our incredible teaching staff was able to offer these wonderful opportunities for our students. We saw lots of learning and creativity along with many smiles each day! The custodians have been working hard to get our schools ready for students to walk in on Wednesday, August 28th and we are looking forward to having our buildings full of learning and smiling faces!

Important Information
School Schedule
Listed below is the school day schedule for the 2024-25 school year. Please note that Wednesdays include professional development time for staff and have a different dismissal schedule (every Wed. except Sept 4th, Jan. 22nd, May 28th, June 4th).
Student Drop off and Pick up Information
Drop off times are listed above. Drop off and pick up is at the gym doors at Hanson and LES. If you plan to drop your child off and your child will be having breakfast, please drop them off close to 8:20, so they have time to eat before school starts. Breakfast ends promptly at 8:35.
For safety, students need to exit the car on the driver side at Hanson and on the passenger side at LES. If your vehicle is unable to accommodate that, then you may be asked to park and help your child out of the car.
We use a dismissal app called PikMyKid for all end of the day parent pickups. Each student will go home on the first day of school with 2 new “car tags” and information about Pikmykid. These are to be used by the main people who are designated to pick up your student at dismissal and are to be displayed in the window during pickup.
If you typically have someone else pick up your child, please make sure you make them a “delegate” in the app. They can also download the app and we can get them a car tag if necessary. Please check out the following link that will show you a few of the PikMyKid features. https://www.pikmykid.com/features/for-parents/

Attendance Matters
We Track Attendance Every Day!
School Success and Learning Go Hand In Hand with School Attendance
Many of our youngest students miss 10 percent of the school year, about 18 days a year or just two days every month. Many of these absences are excused, but they still add up to lost learning time in the classroom. Help Your Child Succeed In School and Build A Habit of Good Attendance.
Why does attendance matter for young students?
Attending school regularly helps your child feel better about school and themselves.
Your child learns right away that going to school on time every day is important.
Good attendance will help your child develop good habits and do well in high school, college, and at work.
Nurse's Nook
Happy August!
Your Lebanon Elementary School nurse is excited to welcome your student(s) at school this fall!
My name is Megan McIntyre, RN. Students call me Nurse Megan. This will be my 4th year with the district.
It is time to start thinking about the health needs of your students when they start school this fall. All students who require an inhaler, an Epipen, or any other medication while at school will require a form to be filled out. This form needs to be renewed each school year. Please email me at megan.mcintyre@msad60.org if you would like that form before the start of school.
We do our best to keep students in school, but sometimes they should be kept home. If your student has a fever of 100.4 or greater, or is vomiting and/or having diarrhea, please keep them home for at least 24 hours from the last episode. Symptoms should be resolved without the use of medication (ibuprofen, Tylenol, etc) before they return.
The nurse's offices keep some clothing items in case of spills or accidents, but ideally each student should have a change of clothes in their backpack. Please send a reusable water bottle with your student every day.
Please ensure that your child's immunizations are up to date. You may send copies to me via email or you may have them faxed to 207-457-1829.
Please let us know if your child is going to be tardy or absent for any reason. We track attendance daily. The attendance line is 207-457-1126 x6100.
If you have any questions or concerns prior to the start of school, the best way to reach me is at my email: megan.mcintyre@msad60.org.
