Welcome to the New JFDS Teachers!
Mrs. Bridges - Eighth Grade English
- This is my twelfth year teaching in the Bangor School Department. I have previously taught first grade, PreK, and second grade at Fourteenth St. School and Vine St. School, and I am so excited that I get to teach some of my old friends again in 8th grade! A little about me…I have four daughters, one in college at EMCC, and three currently attending Bangor High School. A few of my favorite things include beach days, youth sports, being a dog mom and learning new things. As a teacher, I enjoy helping kids to find their strengths and become better readers, writers, and problem solvers. I hope that all of my students for the 2024-2025 school year will realize that we can have fun while we are learning together!
Mr. Doughty - Special Education
- I was born and raised in Philadelphia and growing up in the city taught me many valuable lessons that I still use today. I am a strong believer in the attitude that hard work, and a little grit, will take you far in life and help you realize your dreams. I have worked with children and young people of all ages for over twenty years. They keep me young, at least mentally. I am a huge hockey fan and I also enjoy building sheet metal models in my spare time.
Ms. Kubesh - Special Education
- I have lived in the Bangor area the past ten years, after moving from Minnesota to Maine. I have three dogs and four cats. I have been an educational technician the past six years and this is my first year being a teacher. I love hiking, reading, finding new places to explore, coaching basketball and softball and also reffing basketball. I am excited to join this Bulldog community!
Ms. Dupuy - French
- I've lived in Bangor for fourteen years. I have two daughters and two cats. My kids and my husband are French citizens, which means I'm the only one who has to go through the really long line when we fly to Europe together :) I taught at UMaine and Hermon High School before switching to middle school four years ago. This is my fourteenth year teaching. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, traveling, yoga, gardening, reading, and cross country skiing. I also make jewelry, which I sell in several stores around the state. I'm really happy to be here!
Ms. Ireland - School Nurse
- I have been a nurse for three years and my previous experience is on a surgical-orthopedic unit. I am absolutely obsessed with my four-legged child, Sawyer who turns two this month! And on September 14th I got married!!
And more new Bulldogs...
