Making Progress on the Outdoor Classroom
The outdoor classroom is becoming a reality before our eyes! Tony Persaud, Joe Ballaro, and Eric Facchini have been hard at work to make this dream come true! The students and staff are so excited to watch the progress, and the kids love to see the machines!

Bus App -- Parents are encouraged to download the bus app (My Ride K-12) if your child takes the bus. The bus app will let you know when the bus is arriving for pickup and drop off and the bus company will send out notifications if there are delays.
Plastic bags -- Whitsons is collecting plastic bags and plastic wrappings for recycling with the goal of collecting 1,000 pounds total, at which point they will donate a nice bench to Spooner House. Plastic can be turned in to the cafeteria staff. "Soft plastic" that stretches is acceptable, but cellophane "crunchy" plastic that tears is not. The document below explains what can be donated.
Concerts and tickets -- The Kindergarten and Fourth Grade Celebrations will be held on June 3 and May 27th, respectively. Each family in these grades will have 4 "tickets" for family to attend. If you would like older or younger siblings at BHS to attend, they can sit on the floor in front of the audience so that you do not use a ticket for them.
The concert for grades 1, 2, and 3 on May 20 will have 2 tickets per family due to the larger size of the group. Grades K and 4 will see the show on the morning of the performance.
Outdoor Classroom Construction -- Parents and staff are asked to keep children off of the equipment and at a safe distance from the construction site.
One School, One Book -- Students are enjoying our 1 school 1 book selection, Mysteries According to Humphrey. Kindly return the book after the event for future use. Thanks!
