Dear 8th Grade Parents,

We would like to invite you to join an optional zoom meeting on Monday, November 18th at 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Garcia, the 8th grade counselor will be reviewing what our 8th grade students have done for their 4-year plan. Mr. Garcia will also explain the remaining part of thar 4-year plan, which has to do with selecting an Endorsement and Program of studies.

On Wednesday November 20th, eight grade students will finalize their 4-year plans for High School.

Your students’ pictures are online for your viewing and ordering pleasure. We have gone to a new photo hosting site this year that has a few more bells and whistles. We hope you will like it. To view the images, go to https://childchamp.gotphoto.com/

Each child’s access code is the number 25 (which stands for the 2024-2025 school year), followed by their 6-digit SBISD ID. If you do not know their ID, you can find it on skyward. For example, if their ID was 123456, you would type 25123456. Please note that this is only an example!

All orders placed by 11-21 will ship directly to the school and will come home with your student. Any order placed after that date will incur a shipping fee and will ship directly to your home. Our new system also allows you to pay a shipping fee and ship directly to your home, if you prefer that, even if you are within the 11-21 window.

Our Fall Final Exam Scheudle is now available below. Although 6th grade students do not have "finals" they my have an exam during the finals time slot.

Finals may not be taken early.

CampusRN, a company founded by a registered nurse, is offering a wellness camp specifically for CIS Spring Branch middle school campuses. This camp is designed to provide students with hands-on experience and insight into the field of nursing, giving them a glimpse into the medical field.

This experience could be incredibly inspiring for our students and might even spark their interest in participating in the PCA externships we offer to high school students in the future.

25 slots are available, all of which have been reserved for our students. At least three students from our campus can sign up to take part in this awesome opportunity.

Students can apply using the QR code on the attached flyer. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, November 20th. The camp will take place on December 7, 2024, at the TMC Innovation Factory, 2450 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77071, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

At this time, all returning students were given their ID badge, a plastic cover, and lanyard. Students are expected to wear their badge daily. If your child has lost or misplaced their ID you may purchase a new one by clicking here.

Please help your child find a routine that helps them be Accountable for their badge. Temporary badges will be supplied while new badge is arriving and can be found in the grade level offices. Temporary badges should be worn each day until new badge arrives on campus.
