January PTO Meeting

Join us tonight, Wednesday, January 8th at 6:30pm in the DCD Library for our monthly meeting! We're looking forward to planning out the remainder of this school year, and we need your help to make it memorable for our students!

Girl's basketball season will begin January 27th.

No-cut tryouts will run January 27th-29th from 3:30pm-5pm

Practice begins January 30th 3:30pm-5pm and generally will run Mon-Fri

Students are required to have a current sports physical turned into the school to play. (good for 2 years).

Students are not allowed to use personal electronics at school. This includes: tablets, game systems, cell phones, apple watches, ear buds, etc. Devices should be OFF and AWAY prior to entering the building and should remain off until students exit the building. Please don't text your child during class time. If you need to reach your child, please call the front office and they will deliver a message to your child.

1. The first time a student is caught using electronics the item will be given to the front office and the student may pick it up after school.
2. The second time a parent/guardian must come to school to pick up the item.
3. The third time a parent/guardian meeting will be held with the principal to determine the next steps.

While cell phones are convenient communication tools, repeated notifications and accessing electronics during the school can negatively impact a student's ability to focus on learning. Some students receive up to 20-30 notifications per hour during the day.
